The new Ultimo (ULT-01-004) supports 4×4 channels of uncompressed audio, double the capacity of the Ultimo (ULT-01-002) introduced at the beginning of 2013. Ultimo is part of Audinate’s portfolio of high performance Dante solutions and is a family of complete, fully-featured, ready-to-use, single-chip Danteâ„¢ solutions for networked audio products.
Dante is recognized for its outstanding performance and ease of integration. The Ultimo family incorporates all the differentiated Dante features like automatic device discovery, plug-and-play networking, customization of device names and channel labels and network-based firmware updates. The Ultimo family is a perfect choice for networking powered speakers, microphones, AV wall plates, speakerphones, amplifiers, paging stations, personal monitoring systems, recording interfaces, intercoms, and analog/digital break-in/break out interfaces. ULT-01-004 extends the range of applications that can benefit from the Ultimo low cost Dante implementations
Coinciding with the launch of the new 4×4 Ultimo chip, the complete Ultimo product family will be enhanced to support an even richer set of features including:
• Increased range of sample rates (44.1KHz, 48KHz, 88.2KHz, 96KHz)
• Pull up / pull down support
• Remote signal presence indication
• Latency monitoring
• Improved clock statistics reporting
• GPIO pin activation
