For Immediate Release

AUDIOSCIENCE JOINS AVNU ALLIANCE

Is now part of the organization promoting IEEE AVB

NEWCASTLE, DE (March 16th, 2012): AudioScience, Inc., a professional digital audio innovator in the radio broadcast and installed sound industry, is pleased to announce that it has joined AVnu Alliance as a Promoter member. The AVnu Alliance was formed to promote and certify the IEEE Audio Video Bridging (AVB) set of standards. It includes manufacturers in the areas of professional audio/video, automotive and consumer electronics. AVnu certified products will allow manufacturers to have one standards based network that handles all video, audio, control and data, while reducing costs and simplifying deployment.

“We decided as a company to focus on audio-over-networks many years ago”, said Stephen Turner, Vice President of AudioScience. “One of our mission statements is to support and promote standards that are in our area of interest. When AVB came on the scene, we watched with interest, noting that it was being developed under the auspices of the IEEE and that it had prominent installed sound and network silicon companies behind it. Being completely scalable and covering a variety of industries, we feel AVB is a contender for the holy grail of audio and video over networks and so have chosen to rally around it through the AVnu Alliance”.

“We are very pleased to have AudioScience join the growing ranks of member companies which have embraced game-changing significance of AVnu AVB for robust, AV-aware networking,” states Lee Minich Marketing Work Group chair of AVnu Alliance and president of Lab X Technologies. “AudioScience’s commitment to AVnu will continue to strengthen their role in radio automation, and lead the adoption of AVnu AVB in throughout that industry.”
