Aurora Multimedia Leads the Pack; Launches CLASSPAC™ A/V Classroom Initiative With Industry-Leading Partners

MORGANVILLE, N.J. ”• June 2, 2009 ”•

Aurora Multimedia Corp., a leading manufacturer of IP-based control systems, processors, and touch panels for A/V systems, today announced the introduction of CLASSPACâ„¢ at the upcoming InfoComm ’09 show. CLASSPAC is a configuration/design tool intended to bring together top technologies for classroom audio, video, and IP control integration. Combining solutions from various manufacturers in one system, CLASSPAC simplifies ordering, speeds installations, delivers a minimum three-year warranty, and offers highly competitive pricing.

As part of CLASSPAC control, Aurora Multimedia includes the WACI (Web Accessible Control Interface) control system and touch screen or button interfaces. Among the many selections, CLASSPAC base systems include CAT5 wall input plates, wireless microphones, audio amplifiers, speakers, cables, and display mounts. Furthermore, additional CLASSPAC “partner” products include lighting controls, thermostats, audio and video playback systems, projectors, projection screens, and much more. For example, a CLASSPAC system may include Aurora’s WACI NX-22 control processor and a WACI-PAD 6 keypad interface, an OWI self-amplified in-ceiling speaker system, a 3,000 lumen digital projector, a universal projector mount from Premier Mounts, and a 100-inch diagonal screen from Draper.

“Simply put, CLASSPAC makes dealers and consultants look like heroes with minimal effort involved in specifying a complete A/V system for the classroom,” said Paul Harris, Aurora Multimedia’s president and CEO. “When writing a bid specification, dealers and consultants have a complete and validated system to present to customers, and everything is preprogrammed and guaranteed to be compatible with each other. Once installed, the system’s ready to go. It doesn’t get any easier than that.”

All of the CLASSPAC devices are tested during a rigorous certification process for connectivity, operation, two-way communication, and complete system integration. This assures out-of-the-box interoperability and a smoother installation with the other components in the system. Along with Aurora Multimedia, CLASSPAC partners currently include OWI Inc., Wolfvision, Premier Mounts, PDR Mounts, Draper screens, Dimonoff lighting systems, and many others. The CLASSPAC partner program promotes interoperability and delivers simple A/V classroom packages that are easy to configure and address the unique needs of any educational facility.

Building and ordering a CLASSPAC system is a simple, time-saving process. Integrators simply go to the CLASSPAC Web site:

, log on, and use the configuration wizard tool to design a system of any complexity via simple drop-down menus. CLASSPAC model numbering designates a complete list of system components and these part numbers can then be used for specifications, to establish design budgets, and may be reused for future projects. Dealers maximize on existing vendor relations by ordering directly from each CLASSPAC manufacturer partner.
