Aurora Multimedia’s Next-Generation WACI NX-22™ Control Processor Is First to Offer Integrated Bluetooth® Microphone Capability for Voice-Lift Applications

MORGANVILLE, N.J. ”• June 11, 2009 ”• Aurora Multimedia today introduced the first product in its next generation of WACI control processors, the WACI NX-22â„¢. The unit offers improved processing capabilities and is the first control processor to provide patent-pending integrated BluetoothA® microphone capability for voice-lift applications. Additional features include a built-in audio player with volume control to enable internal management of audio mixing, voice over IP, and intercom and paging systems, all at a lower cost.

“Now more than ever, our customers are looking for unique solutions that provide increased functionality at a lower price point, without sacrificing overall product quality,” said Paul Harris, Aurora Multimedia’s CEO. “To meet this need, we are proud to introduce the next-generation WACI NX-22. In addition to being the first control processor to offer our patent-pending integrated Bluetooth mic integration as we are a registered Bluetooth adopter, the unit features a number of improved capabilities that take our WACI to the next level and offer our customers the most from their investment.”

The Web Accessible Control Interface (WACI) is a powerful non-proprietary IP control system. It is a native network device that can operate seamlessly and simply on an Ethernet network. The WACI serves as the “ambassador” between the Ethernet and intelligent electronics. The system is accessible through any Web browser running on a wired or wireless Ethernet network and requires no special software. The processor is set up using Aurora’s free YIPI software as well as standard Web-authoring tools, and numerous RS232/422/485, IR, relay, and DSP control ports are available with a robust internal IR learner being standard.

The WACI NX-22 can complement the needs of a basic A/V system or serve as the heart of a complex, networked, worldwide asset management and control system. The unit contains its own resources, avoiding the slow performance and bottlenecks caused by shared systems. It offers a wide range of OS compatibility for a truly platform-agnostic operation, and internal server-side operation means that no dedicated server is required, and no special applications need to be installed on a PC to access the WACI control system.

Additionally, the Aurora WACI Offline WindowsA® Editor (WOWE) allows programmers to rapidly create libraries of Event Manager functions on a PC and effortlessly save and transfer them to be reusable from job to job.

The WACI NX-22 provides two serial, IR, relay, and I/O ports and will be available in July 2009 at an MSRP of $899.
