Rich Frembes and Linda Seid Frembes, a husband and wife team who works in the AV industry, has announced the creation of a fund raising effort to benefit oil spill disaster relief efforts of the
Gulf Restoration Network (GRN)
called
“Change for the Gulf”?
that will launch at the InfoComm show on June 9, 2010. Founded in 1995, GRN is the only non-profit exclusively focused on the health of the Gulf of Mexico.
Participation in the fund raising effort is simple: InfoComm attendees are asked to donate their spare change into collection jars located on the show floor.
“What began as a simple idea and an open letter to the industry has resulted in an outpouring of support and donations,”? said Seid Frembes, who posted
on her web site. “The AV industry is a smart and caring group of people. I am proud to be a part of a group so willing to help others.”?
To date, four AV manufacturers are hosting collection jars and nearly $1,000 pledged for matching funds. InfoComm attendees can find change collection points at the following exhibitor booths:
AVI-SPL – booth N2731
Fulcrum Acoustic/Rational Acoustics – booth C7922
Middle Atlantic Products – booth C6002
Projector Lamp Services – booth C4849
Companies and individuals wishing to make direct donations to GRN can do so
. Please use the code “
