CRG to Spotlight the Utility Control Room in a Box (CRiB) at Booth 250
AVI-SPL’s Control Room Group (CRG) today announced it will exhibit at TechAdvantage 2010 Conference and Expo, which will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Ga., Feb. 12-15. The Control Room Group specializes in the design, integration and support of the 24/7/365 mission critical control centers used in the electric utility industry.
Exhibiting in Booth 250, the Control Room Group will demonstrate the Control Room in a Box (CRiB). The system uses standard off-the-shelf components and can be custom designed to meet the unique requirements of the control center staff. The CRiB is meets all NERC, FERC and CIP requirements, is affordable, scalable and can be installed in less than one day. The CRiB includes a large screen display system to ensure situational awareness, primary and secondary monitors, video processing, a human machine interface (HMI), an operator console and an intensive use chair.

According to the TechAdvantage web site, the conference is the premier event for electric cooperative engineering, operations, information technology, purchasing and supply management professionals, providing educational sessions, a hands-on expo and peer discussion forums.
