Award-winning Mixer Paul Hurtubise Joins Margarita Mix

SANTA MONICA (October 25, 2012) – Margarita Mix, a FotoKem company specializing in audio post services for commercials and advertising media, has added sound mixer Paul Hurtubise to its talent roster. The highly regarded sound designer/mixer and music composer has been contributing his art and craft to the industry since 1996. His work includes numerous Super Bowl spots throughout his career, and he has earned CLIO and Telly Awards, among other accolades.

Known for his technological acumen and expertise in audio tools, Hurtubise began his career when Avid Pro Tools first hit the scene for commercial post production. As an early adopter, he became a recognized expert in Hollywood. He has worked on a vast array of projects over the past 20 years, and his recent client roster reads like a “Who’s Who” of spots, including Honda, Toyota, Old Navy, AT&T, Qualcomm, Burger King, Carl’s, Nike, Smartwater, Coke Zero, American Express, Apple, and Microsoft.

FotoKem’s Senior VP Rand Gladden comments, “For over 30 years, Margarita Mix/LA Studios has been providing award-winning, cutting-edge services to the commercial production and advertising communities. And we remain committed to growing our outstanding group of engineers, designers and mixers. We’re excited to add Paul to the team.”

Hurtubise joins multi-award winning mixers Jimmy Hite, Nathan Dubin, and Jeff Levy, to name a few, at Margarita Mix.

“I’m thrilled to be part of such an acclaimed studio with a long history and stellar reputation in the industry,” says Hurtubise, who will be based in Santa Monica. “I am looking forward to working in this state-of-the-art environment supported by a great team. All of us at Margarita Mix are focused on helping our clients do great work, and exceed their expectations on a session-by-session basis.”
