Bedrock Learning and Latin Press Announce Partnership

FEST online course now available in Spanish

Holland, MI – June 22, 2020 – Thanks to collaboration between two recognized authorities in the integrated systems industry, Latin America now has a resource to help installers start or further their careers. Bedrock Learning and Latin Press, Inc. are excited to work together to offer the Spanish version of Bedrock’s Fundamentals for Electronic Systems Technicians, FEST, online course.

“Bedrock Learning is well-known for providing exceptional industry training in English,” said Max Jaramillo, Managing Director of Latin Press. “Knowing our market wanted a self-paced training experience, Bedrock was the obvious choice because of their expertise. The Spanish version of the online course, available 24/7 and in their language, serves our dealers in many countries throughout Latin America.”

The electronic systems industry is growing rapidly, and worldwide demand for qualified entry-level and advanced technicians has never been higher. Bedrock’s FEST online course provides engaging, vendor-neutral self-study for individuals who want to work in technology installation or would like a refresher. Topics include:

  • Electrical Basics
  • Hand Tools, Power Tools, and Testing Tools
  • Construction Methods and Materials
  • Wiring and Installation Practices
  • Standards, Codes, and Safety Practices

Learners advance at their own pace, on their schedule, learning principles of structured wiring including cabling, components, and outlets. Detailed step-by-step design and installation procedures, testing, and troubleshooting methods are covered, along with an introduction to the many different electronic systems and their benefits. Students are empowered with the knowledge they need, and understanding is verified, through interactive activities, animations, videos, voiceover, quizzes, and a final test. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Certificate of Completion and are prepared for hands-on work in the field and product-specific training by manufacturers.

“It’s fulfilling to help support and grow the industry in Latin America,” shared Helen Heneveld, President of Bedrock Learning. “Working closely with the local integration community in the region, the course was translated and expanded to include regional information. We are thrilled to partner with the best and brightest publishing team serving Latin America.”

Bedrock online courses are approved for Continuing Education Units, CEUs, by industry associations, including the Custom Design and Integration Association (CEDIA) and numerous states in the US for security and electrical license renewal.

The introductory offer for the Spanish version of FEST is affordable at $96 US for the 8-hour online course. Bedrock also provides a full curriculum of vendor-neutral online courses in English; Home Networking, Multi-Room Audio, Home Theater, Lighting Control, Security and Access Control, Selling Skills, and Project Management to help companies streamline business and increase profits. In addition, business resource CDs are available with industry proven forms and procedures to implement immediately.
