Company Quote:

“This year at InfoComm, BenQ will unveil a number of exciting new products designed to take the viewing experience in a variety of applications to ‘Higher and Higher’ levels,” said Lars Yoder, President at BenQ America Corp. “Visitors to our booth will experience our new interactive flat panels and laser, high-brightness, Joybee mini, and SmartEco projectors. These products are designed specifically to provide a high level of interactivity, innovation, performance, and entertainment for end users, while increasing profits for integrators.”

New BenQ Products on Display at InfoComm 2012:

Interactive Flat Panels — Higher Interactivity and Productivity

InfoComm 2012 will mark the debut of BenQ’s new 42-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch interactive flat panels (IFPs) with 1920×1080 full HD resolution. Combining the power of touch technology with multimedia connectivity, the T420, T650, and TL550 maximize the learning experience for students, while enhancing meeting efficiency, training effectiveness, collaborative discussions, and team building exercises in corporate, government, and military applications. In addition, the IFPs bring high performance to interactive digital signage applications, video walls, eBoard information displays — such as menus and airport flight schedules — and much more.

The CCFL T420 and T650 offer dynamic contrast ratios of 4,000:1 and 9,000:1, while the LED TL550 offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Key features of all three IFPs include:

– Optical Sensing Touch Technology: Allows users to control their computer directly by touching the screen. Taking advantage of this functionality is as simple as connecting a computer to an IFP with a USB cable.

– Optical Dual Touch Technology: Turns the displayed image or spreadsheet into a multitouch screen, when paired with Windows(R) 7.

– Ambient Light Sensor: Detects the amount of ambient light in its surroundings and automatically adjusts the display setting accordingly.

– Integrated Speaker: Makes every presentation more engaging by taking advantage of videos, music, and sound effects.

Blue Core Laser Projectors — Higher Innovation

Designed to offer stunning visual performance and color accuracy with an ultra-high 80,000:1 contrast ratio, BenQ’s mercury-free blue core light engine utilizes a laser light source rather than a traditional mercury lamp. The result is up to 20,000 hours of reliable brightness, complete elimination of lamp replacement costs, and a 90-percent reduction in light source power consumption. In addition, BenQ’s blue core light engine-driven SmartEco Advanced(TM) technology optimizes the units’ light source systems to deliver exceptional brightness, longer life, and high-energy efficiency.

The LX60ST and LW61ST laser projectors feature instant on/off to save time on warm up and cool down, in addition to a manual brightness level adjustment to accommodate different classroom environments. To generate the best image contrast, the projectors’ “SmartEco Advanced” mode automatically determines the optimal brightness level based on the input source, while a “no source detected” mode automatically lowers brightness to 10 percent when no display has been detected for more than three minutes. With “eco blank” mode, users can blank out the LX60ST and LW61ST’s screens when not in use to redirect students’ focus, while lowering light source power consumption to only 10 percent.

The BenQ blue core light engine projectors offer 2,000 ANSI lumen brightness, XGA/WXGA resolution, and 0.6/0.49 short-throw projection. The units feature two 10W built-in speakers and microphone input, less than 0.5W standby power, a wireless display feature for iPhone(R)/iPad(R), LAN display, USB display, and 360-degree tilted projection.

GP2 and GP10 Joybee Mini Projectors — Higher Entertainment and Portability

At InfoComm 2012, BenQ will unveil the latest addition of its popular mini projector series: the BenQ Joybee GP10. Building on the success of the GP2 Projector, the GP10 Mini Projector offers the perfect balance of size and performance. While larger than the palm-sized GP2 Projector, the HD-ready GP10 Projector maintains its portability while offering a higher brightness of 500 ANSI lumens and native WXGA (1280×800) resolution, with support for resolutions up to UXGA (1600×1200). With new features including wireless multimedia streaming from a PC and an optional detachable DVD player, the GP10 Projector offers simple plug-and-play operation to allow users to share HD-quality presentations, movies, videos, photos, and games on a display up to 240 inches. Audio can be played through the unit’s built-in 3-W SRS speakers or through external speakers via the Audio Out port.

Designed to provide enjoyment anywhere in the home or enhance presentations in the office, the GP10 Projector is packed with multimedia connectivity including USB and SD card viewers, a document viewer for Microsoft(R) Office and PDF documents, and mini HDMI(R) for tablets and smartphones. A plug-and-play USB feature allows for a PC-less experience. Users simply save content to a USB thumb drive, plug the drive into the GP10 Projector, and project the content without the need for a PC or file conversion. In addition, a USB file transfer function lets users transfer their multimedia files to the unit’s 2GB on-board memory storage.

Also On Display at InfoComm 2012:

1080p High-Brightness Projectors — Higher Performance

Ideal for large spaces like classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums, BenQ’s 1080p high-brightness projectors provide brilliant color performance with boosted readability to improve focus and learning. In addition, the units allow teachers to leave the lights on during video sessions, increasing engagement among students while enabling them to take notes. The projectors are also perfect for other venues characterized by bright ambient lighting, including boardrooms, houses of worship, and public displays — where they can provide an unlimited image size on any surface.

At InfoComm 2012, BenQ will showcase the latest additions to its line of high-brightness projectors, including the SH960, SH910, SP890, and SP870. Furthermore, visitors to the company’s booth will witness the SH960’s ability to transform the latest progressive morphing technology into an affordable public display solution. The unit will be utilizing Mersive’s(R) highly advanced Sol software, which allows the projection of large, complex public displays such as interactive floors and surface displays, 360-degree domes, spheres, and other unconventional forms for concerts, museums, staging, and more.

SmartEco(TM) Projector Series — Higher Efficiency

On display at InfoComm 2012, the latest additions to BenQ’s SmartEco(TM) Projector Series include the MX816ST, MW712, MX716, and MS502. Featuring SmartEco technology, these projectors can reduce power consumption by up to 70 percent while providing exceptional brightness. Additionally, the laser projectors LX60ST and LW61ST feature SmartEco Advanced(TM) technology reducing power consumption by up to 90 percent. For schools, this lowers the total cost of ownership by reducing energy bills and extending light source life.

To generate the best image contrast for classrooms of all sizes, the projectors’ “SmartEco” mode automatically determines the optimal brightness level based on the input source, while a “no source detected” mode automatically lowers brightness to 30 percent when no display has been detected for more than three minutes. With “eco blank” mode, teachers can blank screens when not in use to redirect students’ focus, while lowering light source power consumption by up to 70 percent.
