BenQ Provides Digital Signage for Every Application With All-New Display Lineup

New Introductions Include Bar-Type 16:3 Format Panels, Dual-Sided Screens, Interactive Touch Screens, and First 4K UHD Touch Display

COSTA MESA, Calif. — June 11, 2014 —

BenQ America Corp.

, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced its exciting new lineup of innovative digital signage products. Designed to deliver eye-catching content in any environment, the company’s latest introductions come loaded with next-generation features such as six-point touch interactivity, 4K resolution, dual-sided viewing, and varying sizes and formats to satisfy settings ranging from classrooms and boardrooms to retail, hospitality, and public transportation. Complementing BenQ’s existing IL and P Series, the new additions further BenQ’s commitment to bring higher brightness, enhanced interactivity, and the market’s leading energy-saving technology to any digital signage requirement.

RP Series: Multitouch Technology for More Engaging Content Delivery

Featuring 4K resolution, BenQ’s 84-inch RP840G flat panel provides an exceptional six interactive touch points, multi-PC touch control via USB, and EZCast software for sharing content from any PC or WiFi(R)-enabled smart device; thus, significantly increasing classroom and boardroom collaboration. Equipped with the intuitive DisplayNote teaching software bundle, the solution is ideally suited for education and business situations requiring real-time participant collaboration via laptops or tablet devices.

Made for interactive classrooms, collaborative boardrooms, and intuitive wayfinding requirements, the multitouch technology featured on BenQ’s new 70-inch RP700+ interactive flat panel provides incredibly responsive feedback and accurate positioning to augment interactivity in any of today’s signage applications. As a result, students, presenters, and information-seekers can simply touch the screen for ultra-responsive panning, zooming, and scrolling — just like a tablet.

Balancing hands-on capabilities with energy-saving tools, BenQ’s RP551+ flat panel provides six on-screen touch points, allowing multiple users to simultaneously interact with content. Using ambient light adjustment technology, the RP551+ ensures optimal viewing experiences regardless of a room’s light levels while protecting eyes and reducing power consumption by up to 50 percent. Providing an average of 50,000 hours of use, the panel also ensures outstanding long-lasting performance — even when powered-on continuously — to reduce maintenance costs and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) dramatically.

For a more comfortable overall viewing experience, BenQ’s entire line of RP panels features advanced anti-glare and anti-image retention — reducing screen reflection, eliminating visual interference, and preventing both visual fatigue and stress. Supporting a low blue light mode, the displays further their visual protection while increasing system-wide convenience via multiplatform support for Windows(R), Mac(R), Linux(R), and Chrome OS(TM), in addition to convenient connectivity capabilities via front panel input/output options.

Ultra-Slim Dual-Sided Panels and 16:3 Format Displays: Standout Signage for a Variety of Applications

Designed to bring stunning signage to any public space, BenQ’s new slim DL550F (panel only) and DH550AC (panel with stand) displays offer full HD (1920x1080p) content in an ultra-slim 55-inch dual-sided panel design perfectly suited for retail stores, transportation areas, and other public venues. Bringing users information-access from both sides of the panel, the displays are an incredibly thin one-inch thick and light enough to hang from ceilings or be used on its stand. Furthermore, the DH550AC provides easy deployment with no required construction and can fit into tight spaces due to its slim build. To increase communication effectiveness, the unit can show different content streams on either side and features multiple brightness levels to complement any ambient environment.

BenQ’s new bar-type 16:3 format displays enable ultra-wide signage in either 28 inches (BH280) or 38 inches (BH380), perfect for public transit, restaurant menu boards, and more. Featuring 700 nits and 800 nits of high brightness respectively, the BH280 and BH380 offer 178/178-degree viewing angles, DVI and VGA signal interfaces with included DVI to HDMI adapter, and portrait and landscape configurations. Both units are VESA mountable for easy installation and integration with existing systems while LED backlighting provides the industrial-grade panels with a reliable lamp life of up to 50,000 hours — resulting in signage solutions with a lower TCO for long-lasting performance.

“Our latest digital signage solutions affirm BenQ’s commitment to innovation by introducing intuitive products that benefit today’s content providers,” said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. “With a focus on making classrooms and boardrooms more collaborative spaces for communicating ideas while providing real-time content to heavily trafficked public venues, BenQ is enabling smarter, more impactful digital signage installations across all applications.”

BenQ’s interactive flat-panels and digital signage solutions begin shipping in Q3, and will be on display in booth C8531 at InfoComm 2014. More information is available at
