Biamp Systems Ensures Successful AV Network Solutions at Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo 2017

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Oct. 12, 2017 —

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, will showcase its TesiraLUX™ real-time video distribution system, TesiraFORTÉ® VT and VT4 digital signal processors for small-room environments, the Devio® collaboration system and Vocia® networked paging and voice evacuation system at the Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX) 2017, Oct. 25-26 at Crowne Plaza in Denver. In addition, Brent Stark, Biamp’s southwest regional sales manager, will go over the fundamentals of 4K network video in a special educational session.

At its booth (#517), Biamp will show the latest addition to its innovative flagship Tesira® AV platform, TesiraLUX. Now shipping worldwide, TesiraLUX introduces low-latency, 4K-networked video capabilities to the Tesira ecosystem through the addition of an AVB/TSN-enabled video encoder (TesiraLUX IDH-1) and decoder (TesiraLUX OH-1). This groundbreaking solution transports both audio and video signals over a single network through the reliability of AVB/TSN. Tesira is the only network AV solution available that integrates both audio and video processing within a single platform. Tesira enables integrators to manage bandwidth traffic based on specific needs and content types. The results are visually lossless transmissions at the most efficient use of the available network bandwidth. The IDH-1 encoder features one HDMI port, one DisplayPort port, and two mic/line-level analog inputs. The OH-1 decoder includes one HDMI port and two line-level analog outputs.

Also being demonstrated at Biamp’s booth are the latest additions to its TesiraFORTÉ family: the TesiraFORTÉ VT and TesiraFORTÉ VT4 digital signal processors. The TesiraFORTÉ VT provides both VoIP and POTS options within the same chassis; includes standalone, AVB, and Dante™ versions; and provides all the features of the original TesiraFORTÉ family. TesiraFORTÉ VT4 delivers the same flexibility designed specifically for small conference rooms with four analog inputs and four analog outputs and includes AVB and Dante versions. All solutions are equipped with Biamp’s AEC technology to eliminate acoustic echoes and feedback, networked audio via AVB or Dante, and USB audio to interface directly with soft-codec conferencing technologies. Other features include Ethernet control, VoIP and POTS input, RS-232, a general-purpose input/output, as well as an OLED display that comes standard on all five models.

Biamp will also showcase its Devio collaboration tool for modern workplaces and discuss its Vocia networked paging and voice evacuation system. Designed for huddle rooms and other small meeting spaces, Devio provides a high-quality, easy-to-operate laptop-based audio and video conferencing solution. The Vocia networked paging and voice evacuation system leverages a distributed networked approach to provide facilities with scalable, adaptable, and cost-effective paging solutions.

On Oct. 25, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Stark will host a learning session, “Fundamentals of Network 4K Video – Network Clocking, Bandwidth, Compression and Synchronization with Audio” in the Pikes Peak Pavilion. Helping to reduce the impact streaming AV has on an enterprise network, he will discuss clocking between AVB and Dante, what decision makers need in preparation for implementation, and bandwidth of an enterprise network. In addition, he will outline the impact compression has on the image quality of networked video in conjunction with visual acuity, and video and audio synchronization.
