At Integrated Systems Europe (10-12 February 2015, RAI, Amsterdam), Cabletime will be announcing a number of important updates to its flagship IPTV distribution product MediaStar Evolution, including brand new hardware. All the new features have been designed to bring better performance, flexibility and ease of use to customers and will be fully demonstrated in a series of presentations on the booth (10-P116) every day.
Unveiling at the show
Cabletime has selected ISE 2015 to reveal a new MediaStar Evolution feature that provides intelligent and auto-adaptive play out of any live video stream. Visitors will also see a preview of Cabletime’s 4K Next Generation Hardware Platform; more information nearer to the event.
Media Manager V7.0
At the heart of the MediaStar Evolution system is Cabletime’s Media Manager which is used to schedule and control access to all media sources, monitor every part of an IPTV distribution network and provide control for all screen and workstation users regardless of their physical location within the data LAN.
At ISE 2015 Cabletime will reveal new features for this software suite including full LDAP integration, a comprehensive local administrator (allowing global sub-administrator rights), plus a video capture application to record video streams either instantly or time scheduled. Recorded stream files are automatically ingested to the MediaStar iVOD server.
New MPEG Encoder
The MediaStar Evolution Multi-Format Encoder (785-I) now features a full 3G 1080p HD-SDI input. The encoder auto selects the incoming video source from any input, these include dual HDMI, S-Video, CVBS and YPbPr. The 785 also features Power over Ethernet, so no PSU is required when connected to PoE switches and measures just 215 x 133 x 35 mm.
The new 785-I will be demonstrated on the Cabletime booth 10-P116 where a member of the team will be available to discuss highly competitive project pricing.
The MediaStar range provides TV/AV and multimedia distribution products primarily for medium to large enterprises, which require future-proof, stable and proven solutions for live TV, corporate communications, multicasts, music TV, training and digital signage.
