Cabletime streamlines channel approach to support valued resellers

Cabletime, developer of the powerful MediaStar Evolution range of IPTV and digital media distribution solutions is refining its UK channel structure to allow greater focus on its top accredited reseller partners by delivering a direct support package that will enable them to bring more value to their customers.

The company has already identified its tier one partners and will now embark on an engagement programme to provide additional benefits including free training, extended technical support, involvement in a broader lead generation campaign as well as improved margins.

“We want to shorten the communication chain so that we can better support our most active resellers and systems integrators,” said Mike Cuckow, Cabletime Sales Director EMEA Asia Pacific. “They push the boundaries with innovative design and system implementations for our mutual customers, that’s their value added. As a manufacturer we want to be at their shoulders to bring them all the support they need in an evolving, complex technology. That’s our value added. Recent feedback has suggested that some partners feel they are kept one step away from us because they have to buy from a distributor, we are keen to address and resolve this situation.”

The change coincides with Cabletime’s recent enhancements to MediaStar Evolution, in particular updates to the popular Media Manager software. It is considered essential that the new features are marketed through Cabletime’s accredited partners.

“Our tier one partners are best placed to explain and evangelise the significant changes that we have made to our solutions, and ensure that customers are fully supported with detailed product information and technical help should they need it.” Mike Cuckow said. “We are committed to delivering the best solutions across pro AV, IT and broadcast customers and a direct relationship with our partners will enable us to do that most efficiently.”

The MediaStar range provides TV/AV and multimedia distribution products primarily for medium to large enterprises, which require future-proof, stable and proven solutions for live TV, corporate communications, multicasts, music TV, training and digital signage.
