Way to Salvation Church Builds with dBTechnologies

Way to Salvation Church in Kent, Washington serves the Slavic Community in the Seattle and Tacoma area in a modern, 2000-seat sanctuary equipped with a dBTechnologies VIO audio system. Seattle-based Hi-Tech Sound & Lighting designed and installed Way to Salvation’s system. Hi-Tech owner Vasyl Mulyarchuk demo’d VIO early in the church’s planning process, and the church chose it as an ideal system for their new sanctuary.

The new system consists of left, center and right hangs with six dBTechnologies VIO L210 line arrays each. Three DVA S10 DP subwoofers add low-frequency support and two Ingenia IG2Ts provide side fill at stage left and right. Six DVX DM12 TH serve as monitors. Four are ceiling-mounted for the choir. Five LVX 10 loudspeakers cover the balcony and four LVX 8 loudspeakers provide under-balcony fill. Additional LVX 8 loudspeakers cover hallways and entry areas in the church.

All loudspeakers are self-powered and Mulyarchuk used dBTechnologies RDNet software for system setup, commissioning and operational control. Hi-Tech also provided audio systems throughout the rest of the church including classrooms and meeting spaces.

Mulyarchuk says the dBTechnologies VIO system provides even coverage throughout the church with excellent voice intelligibility and great sound quality for the church’s music service with its large choir. He says the system was easy to install in large part because of dBTechnologies well-designed rigging system. And, at the church’s grand opening on March 10th, many people complemented him on the audio quality, “Everyone loves the system,” he says.
