DURANT, OK—Choctaw Casinos & Resorts added a large LED video wall to its flagship location in Durant, Oklahoma. The new direct-view LED spectacular is located in the main sports bar of the property’s new Sky Tower hotel expansion which opened in 2021. SNA Displays manufactured the LED display technology, and AVI Systems oversaw the project and installation.
The new video wall is 11’10” tall by 94’6″ long and curves around the large sports bar, The League, providing information and entertainment for bar patrons and bettors. Content can span the entire canvas or be segmented into several large screens or dozens of smaller ones.
The display, which was manufactured from SNA Displays’ BOLD™ Interior product series, features a 2.5 mm pixel pitch and a resolution of 1,440 x 11,520 pixels, meaning the screen consists of more than 16 million total pixels. The video wall was designed in three large sections, each a little more than 31 feet long. The flat middle section is flanked with bookend sections, each of which includes a 24-foot concave radius, giving the large room an immersive, theater look and feel.
“It’s the design and the sheer size of this video wall that strikes you,” said Doug Fundator, director of sales for SNA Displays. “With such a high resolution and great viewing angles, the picture is crystal clear from anywhere in the sports bar.”
Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant is a three-level convention/entertainment venue whose amenities include swimming, shopping, dining, and spa, plus The District, an entertainment complex with dining, bowling lanes, a 70-game arcade, and a movie theater. Other recent upgrades include 3,300 additional slot machines, table games, a new poker room, new restaurants, bars, movie theaters, and three-acres of swimming pools.
