Christie‘s Educational Forum Designed to Increase Visual Display System Knowledge in Simulation Industry

Due to popular demand,

ChristieA®

, a leader in simulation projection display solutions, will host its fifth SIM University, a free educational forum for visual system engineers, program managers and technical specialists in the simulation industry, on Oct 22-23 at the Dayton Country Club, Dayton, Ohio.

“Visual display capabilities in the simulation industry are forever changing and advancing. It’s important to bring together experts and participants in this field and offer an in-depth look at system fundamentals and design as well as advancements in solid state illumination and how it will impact visual display systems for the simulation market. The event also expands our own knowledge of industry needs and priorities so that we can stay ahead of our customers’ needs,” said Zoran Veselic, vice president of Christie’s Visual Environments.

On Oct. 22, Christie will provide introductory technical sessions for those with entry-level

experience in visual display systems for simulation or anyone interested in a refresher. It will cover topics such as the fundamentals of projection technology, resolution, optics, and display specifications. For those with intermediate or advanced knowledge or anyone who attended the Oct. 22 session, October 23 is dedicated to system design considerations and image quality, display specifications (part two), the visual systems design process for RFP proposals, choosing the correct visual system components, and night vision goggle (NVG) stimulation principles and practice. Both days include hands-on exercises. For a complete agenda and to register, please visit
