Cine Gear Lens Launches

The Cabrio PL 19-90mm lens with uncoated front and rear elements will be at Cine Gear as a technology demo. This exhibition is for product development and direct customer feedback.

“We’re showing an uncoated version of the Cabrio 19-90mm as a tech demo to gain valuable customer feedback from the Cine Gear crowd,” said Tom Fletcher, Director of Sales, Optical Devices Division of FUJIFILM. “We’re exploring new options within our product range to determine which are the most beneficial to our customers. There are times when a cinematographer may desire the artistic look of natural lens flares. By design, Fujinon lenses normally do not flare easily.”

At CineGear, the Cabrio PL 20-120mm will be shown for the first time without its accompanying detachable servo, to provide additional shooting options to cinematographers who prefer to shoot more cine style. The 20-120mm zoom, along with the 19-90, 85-300, and 14-35mm Cabrios feature detachable digital servo drive units. The Cabrio PL 25-300 servo has always been optional, making all five Cabrios suitable as a standard cine or ENG-style lens. Designed using the latest proprietary optical simulation software, the entire range of Cabrio lenses offers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image and in the corners of the frame.

The newly launched “MK” Series of cinema lenses, along with the UA Series of HDR zooms, will also be making their Cine Gear debut this year in the FUJIFILM booth.

Fujinon will have a new booth location at this year’s Cine Gear – inside Stage 15 (Booth S224) – located between ARRI, Panasonic and Blackmagic.
