Missoula, MT– Cleerline Technology Group continues to redefine fiber optic connectivity with the release of a new line of 4K UHD HDMI Active Optical Cables (AOC). Recognizing the industry’s need for a durable solution bridging the gap between long distance signal transmission over fiber and shorter distance transmission over copper HDMI, Cleerline’s new 4K UHD HDMI AOC incorporate the benefits of SSF™ fiber optic technology alongside the newest HDMI chipset.
While other HDMI AOCs may use plastic or traditional glass optical fibers, Cleerline’s New HDMI AOCs utilize SSF™ glass optical fibers. SSF™ HDMI AOC contain 4 strands of optical fiber, all with integral SSF™ patented polymer at the glass level for up to 200 times the durability and increased bend insensitivity over traditional fiber. Within the HDMI AOC, SSF™ glass technology allows the cable to withstand higher loads during installation, as well as increasing flexibility.
In addition to SSF™ technology, SSF™ HDMI AOC are built with the newest chipset technology, preventing heat build-up at the HDMI heads of the cable. This increases the longevity of the cable and allows the use of a more durable molded plastic head instead of an attached metal head construction. For easy identification of the directional cable, the connector ends are color-coded and marked to distinguish the Source and Display.
The fiber optic construction of SSF™ HDMI AOC provides the high bandwidth needed for today’s devices. All cables provide full 4K60 Ultra High Definition and support up to 18 Gbps signal transmission as specified under HDMI 2.0 standards. Additionally, all cables feature High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG). Unlike other HDMI AOC cables, no external power is required.
SSF™ HDMI AOC have a plenum rated outer jacket, allowing in-wall installation in plenum spaces and ducts. Cables are available in 10, 15, 20, or 30 meter lengths.
