Control4 Hospitality Solution Debuts at HITEC 2016

Smart hotel room automation delivers luxury travel experience for guests.

New Orleans, LA – June 20, 2016 9:00 AM ET – Control4 Corporation (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading global provider of automation solutions, today introduced the new Control4® Hospitality Solution. Offering today’s hotels powerful in-room automation functionality, along with sophisticated back-end management software, hotel staff are provided extensive guest room status updates, whether that is a need for new batteries for a remote control or a mini-bar requires a restock. With Control4, smart hotels can deliver an elegant, unparalleled travel experience, greeting guests with automated lighting, shades, entertainment and climate control as soon as they enter their rooms. The Control4 Hospitality Solution maximizes operational efficiencies gained through hotel room automation throughout the property.

“From doors to drapes, Control4 provides a complete automation solution for the hospitality industry. By uniting systems that were once disparate, Control4 delivers operational efficiencies for hotels and a personalized, five-star stay for their guests,” said Eric Anderson, SVP Products.

For hotel management, interoperability, energy efficiency and customization are key. Control4 integrates with third-party systems and products, including door locks, card swipes, mini-bars, property management systems and other hotel services, increasing efficiency of staff, maximizing hotels’ investments and uniquely fitting property requirements. The Control4 Hospitality Solution can be programmed with pre-configured check-in/check-out default settings to maximize room efficiency – drapes open or close, lighting levels are set, and the room temperature adjusts, automatically. Additionally, a personalized welcome screen can greet the guest by name on the TV screen and a completely customizable user interface can be designed to conform to each hotel’s brand. TheControl4 Hospitality Solution is designed to be affordable and scalable-from retrofit projects to new construction and from a single floor to thousands of rooms.

Dan Levine, CEO of CytexOne, a Control4 dealer based in New York City, installs Control4 in prominent hotel properties in North America and currently has several projects underway. “The key thing that differentiates Control4 from all the other platforms is the ease of customization and programming. We spend a fraction of the time setting up the system and in the hotel environment you can customize the room template and push it throughout the entire hotel. It only takes us seconds to modify the automation and we can do it all remotely,” said Levine. “Control4 integrates with nearly 10,000 different devices. It makes adding devices into the system extremely simple.”

Control4 can be managed by guests through a unique, intuitive on-screen interface via an easy-to-use system remote, touch screen, or wall keypad. Through the same system, hotel staff, valet services, or any other hospitality need is always just one touch away. The Control4 Hospitality Solution is powered by the award-winning Control4 EA line of controllers, and features new enhancements to the Control4 Operating System.

The Control4 Hospitality Solution currently enhances the guest and hotelier experience in more than 15,000 hotel rooms in 12 countries around the globe at top hotels including 1 Hotels, Aria, COMO, The Cosmopolitan, Dorchester Collection, Kimpton, Mandarin Oriental, Montage, Four Seasons, One Farrer, Rosewood, and The Star.
