Covid, Inc., a leading connectivity products manufacturer, has announced the addition of an Active Optical DVI Cable to its line of products. The Active Optical Cable, allows for much longer distance than standard copper cables. This new DVI cable is a welcome addition to Covid’s already popular HDMI Active Optical Cables. “What makes the Active Optical Cable line so unique is the availability to interchange the connector heads. Since they are detachable, customers can now use the same cable, and either use HDMI or DVI connectors depending on their specific application,” says Norm Carson, President of Covid, Inc. The new DVI Active Optical Cables have a bend radius of 5mm, are light weight and have a high pulling strength. They support HDTV resolutions up to Full HD 1080p, and are plenum rated. There are a variety of optional accessories available for purchase that can accompany both the DVI and HDMI Active Optical Cables including a pulling capsule, power injector and replacement connectors.
