David Carroll Associates Appoints Three Key Positions

Richmond, CA – August 2020… David Carroll Associates, the premier AV/Technology systems design and integration company, has added three new positions to reflect the company’s dramatic growth. Alan Mays has been promoted to the position of Senior Media Engineer, Jeff Allen comes aboard as Account Manager, and Dean Burns joins the company as Integration Manager.

Alan Mays is a veteran of live broadcast and post production whose credits include launching E! TV, as well as his pioneering work in uncompressed video over IP. His resume includes Senior Video Engineering roles at Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Ranch and Video Arts in San Francisco. As an engineer for NEP Group, he has supported high-profile productions including the Academy Awards and the Super Bowl.

With over a quarter century in the AV industry, Jeff Allen has been involved in close to 1000 projects spanning commercial, government, medical, and educational markets. His experience in creating effective solutions for a wide range of use cases and clientele has afforded him a unique perspective in creative problem solving across a wide range of scenarios and budgets.

 

Dean Burns comes to DCA with over 40 years of experience in the Live Production and Installed AV industries. His career has included building and operating radio stations, TV studios, and A/V production facilities. He has worked extensively within the Low Voltage Industry, including technical and project management in AV, Networking, and Internet technologies.
