Dan Dugan Sound Design Inc. has announced the appointment of digicom, located in Nagoya, Japan as the company’s exclusive distributor for that country.
Operating both as a manufacturer and distributor/installer, digicom provides quality products and services to the Live Sound and Broadcast industries. Along with Dugan automatic mixing controllers, other products in the digicom line include control systems (manufactured by digicom), digital distribution systems from Atterotech; personal monitor systems and network audio from Pivitec; fiber optic systems from Fiberplex Technologies llc and Connex; Dante breakout systems from Four Audio; locking power cables from Schaffner and Ethernet switching products from Luminex.

Dan Dugan Sound Design, now in its 47th year, has been designing automatic microphone mixing technology since the late 1960s. Technologies invented by Dan Dugan include the Dugan Speech System, which automatically manages any number of live microphones in unscripted talking situations, the Dugan Music System, which offers automatic downward expansion to help reduce feedback and noise pick-up in live performances, and Dugan Gain Limiting, which provides a continuous, stepless, number-of-open-microphones master gain adjusting system.
