Digital Nirvana Initiates “Buy-Back” Program for Customers of Competitive Compliance Monitoring and Recording Systems

Digital Nirvana has begun a “Buy-Back” program for the broadcast industry

Fremont, CA – Digital Nirvana has begun a “Buy-Back” program for the broadcast industry to allow those using a competitive compliance monitoring and recording system the opportunity to upgrade it to a new, feature rich Digital Nirvana MonitorIQ media management platform (MMP).

“Given recent announcements of broadcast industry vendors moving away from compliance monitoring and recording solutions, we wanted to alleviate any uncertainty for on-going support and feature upgrades for those that have adopted competitive systems,” said Digital Nirvana Sales Director Dan Wasilko. “With our Buy-Back program, broadcasters can upgrade their current system to our latest MonitorIQ – and take advantage of its standard features, including our new, streamlined user interface.”

Upgrading to the new Digital Nirvana MonitorIQ will allow broadcasters to continue to monitor and record their outbound channels to station or satellite transmitters and the return signals from off-air, cable, and satellite. The MonitorIQ platform has many standard features such as multiple inputs, metadata search options, and integration with in-station workflow systems that may not be available in a competitive platform.

“The “Buy-Back” program is an affirmation of our commitment to broadcast community and our continued focus on improving our product,” added Wasilko. “We’re here for the long term, and we look forward to supporting our current customers as well as developing new relationships.”

In addition to an improved user interface, the latest version of MonitorIQ also includes: HTML5 and HLS support, Matrox Monarch integration, cloud recording, ability to view content on any Smart TV or connected device, as well as cloud-based OTT monitoring.

MonitorIQ features a powerful content retrieval system called SmartSearch, and operates in a Centralized Management server environment– which unites all units deployed throughout the system to one central point. The platform delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, logging, compliance and archiving functions and is fully customizable.

At next month’s NAB 2016 (Booth #SU10410), Digital Nirvana will introduce an expansion to the MMP product line to include both on-premise and cloud-based solutions for both broadcast and OTT services. Also new to the product line is the CAR/TS transport stream recording and playout system for real-time TS monitoring and alerts, time-shifted playout, and disaster recovery applications.
