Digital Projection unveils most cost-effective, high-brightness display in company history

6,000 lumen E-Vision WXGA 6000 DLP projector begins shipping October 2012 for $3,995 MSRP + lens.

ATLANTA, GA – 8/7/2012 – Digital Projection International (DPI), an EmmyA® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces the E-Vision WXGA 6000, the most budget-conscious addition to DPI’s high-brightness, high-value projection line. Building on the success of the previously launched E-Vision 7000 and 8000 displays, DPI’s E-Vision WXGA 6000 extends the accessibility of DPI’s advanced projectors to a wider range of applications. Producing up to 6,000 lumens of illumination, the E-Vision 6000 can be configured with the same wide array of lens options, user swappable color wheels and advanced color controls that have made the E-Vision series displays integral AV solutions. The E-Vision WXGA 6000 will commence shipping in October 2012, and carries an MSRP of $3,995 plus lens.

The E-Vision WXGA 6000 continues the progression of DPI’s cost-effective, high-brightness E-Vision series. Weighing in at less than 40 lbs., the dual-lamp E-Vision WXGA 6000 employs the latest in Texas Instruments’ 1280 x 800 dark metal DLPâ„¢ technology to deliver 6,000 lumens and up to 2400:1 contrast. Lightweight with a streamlined cabinet, the incredibly bright E-Vision 6000 presents a compelling imaging solution for lecture halls, conference venues, houses of worship, corporate auditoriums and boardrooms, digital signage, and any other application needing bright, accurate imagery at an unprecedented price point.

Announced as an aggressively priced complement to the existing E-Vision series of displays, the E-Vision WXGA 6000 joins the E-Vision WXGA 7000, E-Vision 1080p 8000 and E-Vision WUXGA 8000 projector as a comprehensive family of display solutions. Distinct to the new E-Vision WXGA 6000 is a new, lightweight and streamlined cabinet, designed to complement the architectural details of nearly any installation. Further extending the integration ease of the E-Vision WXGA 6000 is the display’s two swappable color wheels, allowing integrators or end users to easily install the color wheel that provides the best balance of lumens and color depth to complement their application. Additionally, a variety of fixed and zoom lens options give the E-Vision WXGA 6000 a flexible throw ratio range of .76:1 – 8.26:1.

First launched in 2011, the E-Vision product family has already enjoyed a year of steady growth and success in high ambient light commercial venues and houses of worship. The new E-Vision WXGA 6000 delivers the same powerful performance with even greater cost-leading value, making the E-Vision series an even more appealing solution for a wider variety of commercial applications.
