Eleven Engineering Features Numerous Live SKAA® Wireless Audio Demos at its 2018 Annual Product Showcase in Las Vegas

2018 Showcase Theme is “The Seven Deadly Sins of WiFi Audio”; SKAA Wireless Audio Receivers, Transmitters, & More Will Be Featured During the Jan. 9-12 Event Held at The Mirage Hotel & Casino

EDMONTON, AB, CANADA, Dec. 21, 2017 – Eleven Engineering, Inc. (www.elevenengineering.com), a market leader in semiconductor products for wireless audio for home theater, multi-room, outdoor, portable, professional, 12 Volt (car, truck, motorcycle, power sports, marine) and gaming applications, is proud to announce that it will feature numerous live SKAA® Wireless Audio demos during its annual Product Showcase, held in Las Vegas, Nev. from Jan. 9-12, 2018 at The Mirage Hotel & Casino (suite TBD). Eleven Engineering will have its full complement of sales, marketing, and engineering teams present during the show to discuss its products and technologies.

“Besides featuring and demoing our class-leading SKAA technologies and products, our theme for this year’s showcase is ‘The Seven Deadly Sins of WiFi Audio’,” explained Rex Whitehead, Eleven Engineering director of sales, North America. “WiFi does a lot of things well, including allowing computers, smart phones, and other devices to connect to the Internet or communicate with one another wirelessly within a particular area. However, delivering audio in real time and with a consistent and predictable latency is something it does not do well at all. Furthermore, since WiFi audio requires a network, it is not a solution that transcends across multiple real-life applications, from home to portable. This forces a consumer to change technologies when they extend outside their WiFi range. Why have you never used WiFi headphones on a plane? Because they don’t exist! Actually, there are many things WiFi does not do well when it comes to wireless audio distribution. Come see us at our suite where we identify the many drawbacks of WiFi audio and demonstrate how SKAA performs these tasks effortlessly and with greater precision.”

Eleven Engineering will also feature its full line of SKAA transmitters, receivers, and accessories during the showcase.

“SKAA is highly flexible as it is also compatible with any brand, any product, anytime, anywhere, with rock solid reliability, great range, and CD-quality sound,” Whitehead continued. “SKAA is ridiculously easy to use…all compatible products are ready to play right out of the box with no pairing required. To show this impressive flexibility, we will also host numerous partner companies in our suite during the showcase, including Merus Audio.”

SKAA is the new wireless HiFi audio standard developed by Eleven Engineering, Inc. SKAA transmitters work with iOS & Android mobile devices, Mac & Windows computers, televisions, and just about any product with a line output or a headphone jack. SKAA is also available as a built-in technology not requiring an external transmitter in purpose-designed partner products, which are featured at SKAA.com. In environments laden with heavy Wi-Fi and Bluetooth traffic, SKAA navigates through these hostile environments with best-in-class reliability. SKAA also allows for uninterrupted audio signals that are delivered with the highest sound quality to all speakers without the latency that is inherent in other wireless solutions.

Among the products Eleven Engineering will feature during the showcase will be the Rush mini analog receiver and the Strawberry 3 module.

“Rush has become wildly popular, and we’ve found that our customers love it not just to enable their existing headphones, but it has become a multi-functional audio tool for them, as well,” said Whitehead. “Since Rush works with SKAA cmd (optional app) when used with our Ursula, Diz, Izabella or Gemma transmitters, it is also now being utilized to enable powered speakers and subs. Rush truly is the little engine that could do most anything.”

Rush utilizes a 3.5 mm stereo audio output jack, volume control +/- buttons, it remembers up to 10 of your favorite transmitters, it has 35m indoor range, has low latency which is great for watching movies, TV and playing games, power it from any USB port, use up to four receivers at the same time with any one SKAA transmitter, ships with SKAA OS 2.4, works with all transmitters running SKAA OS 2.1 or newer (if you’re not sure what version you have, go to TLC, send us a note and just ask), and, there is free shipping to top it all off.

Ideal for speaker systems across multiple platforms, whether it be home theater, outdoor, Pro MI studio, and DJ, the Strawberry 3 module is the complete package. “Strawberry 3 integrates the Ginseng SKAA receiver, the world-class eximo® digital amplifier from Merus Audio, and a full-featured audio DSP, creating a small and powerful amplified wireless receiver for passive speakers,” Whitehead explained. “Strawberry 3’s audio output is BOM selectable for either 40W or 70W per channel. Eleven Engineering’s proprietary adaptive frequency hopping protocol uses a narrow footprint in the 2.4 GHz band allowing seamless co-existence with other devices and offering unparalleled Quality of Service.”

Strawberry 3 is a fully equipped module ready for easy implementation into wireless speakers for multiple applications. “We purposely sought out the industry’s leading digital amplifier maker to complement our industry leading wireless technology. Based in the birthplace of digital amplification, Denmark-based Merus Audio fills that role perfectly,” Whitehead concluded.
