51st Annual New York Film Festival (NYFF)
, which will run from September 27 to October 13. The
Christie projection system debut on Friday, with the festival’s Opening Night world premiere of “Captain Phillips,” a film starring Tom Hanks and based on the true story of the 2009 seizure by four Somali pirates of the Maersk Alabama cargo ship.

two Christie CP4230 4K DLPA® digital cinema projectors
will be converged and synchronized to display 3D movies with double the brightness levels of typical 3D presentations, while a single Christie CP4230 will be used to show 2D content in rich 4K resolution, attesting to the high brightness levels of Christie projectors.
