“The Film Society of Lincoln Center takes a lot of pride in the work it does, supporting and showcasing innovative films by well-known and aspiring filmmakers alike. Our festivals are truly a time to celebrate the moving image and the powerful narratives that can be told through this medium,” said Lesli Klainberg, managing director, the Film Society of Lincoln Center. “At Alice Tully Hall, we show the highest-profile events of the festival, including NYFF official selections and gala tributes. In recent years, many of these have used Christie projectors. We are confident that Christie will always deliver, and are excited that the firm’s projectors will form part of the technology cornerstone for Alice Tully Hall.”

Craig Sholder, vice president, Entertainment Solutions, Christie, noted, “Alice Tully Hall is more than just a place to watch a movie on the big screen. Directors, filmmakers, and actors are all excited when their works premiere before thousands of distinguished guests at this historic and esteemed New York City venue. It’s a vote of confidence in Christie by the Film Society of Lincoln Center that they would choose our technology to debut landmark cinematic works for years to come.”

Gregg Paliotta, president and owner of Digital Media Systems, said that

two Christie CP4230 4K DLPA® digital cinema projectors

will be converged and synchronized to display 3D movies with double the brightness levels of typical 3D presentations, while a single Christie CP4230 will be used to show 2D content in rich 4K resolution, attesting to the high brightness levels of Christie projectors.

“The Film Society wanted the most reliable, powerful, and accurate projection system to anchor the world-renowned Alice Tully Hall, not just for the festival, but for all of its high-profile events year-round,” said Paliotta. “Having used Christie projectors at other iconic Lincoln Center venues, as well as at countless venues throughout New York City, I am confident that Christie projectors are the best choice for the job.”

The New York Film Festival, organized by the

Film Society of Lincoln Center

, is North America’s second oldest film festival, drawing thousands of people to New York City every year to see exciting world premieres, award winning films, and participate in workshops and panel discussions across seven venues on Lincoln Center’s campus.
