All these new innovations, and lots more, will be on display at InfoComm 2022 in the LVCC’s new West Hall, Booth # W1415.

PWB-CMU Family of Project Boxes and Components

The PWB-CMU8: A Dedicated Flat Panel TV Project Box

The PWB-CMU8 is the first dedicated flat panel TV project box engineered for installation in 8” block walls, perfect for gymnasiums, auditoriums, stadiums, schools and numerous other masonry applications. The all metal CMU8 is designed to replace the front portion of one block and, with the optional paintable cover, provides an attractive surface with no visible jagged block edges.

Inside the box are two opposing 2-gang device boxes, providing space for power and low voltage devices. These compartments are convertible to a single gang with the provided block-off plates that are also removable for installing active brick receivers and accommodating standard electrical plates. The gang compartments are over-sized to allow for extra service loops and cable storage and with a depth of 3.25” for even the largest of the active electronic wall-plates.

The PWB-CMU8 has an available 1”, 1.25”, and 1.5” knockouts centered on the opening of the most common two-hole CMU blocks. The cover is painted white, is suitable for over painting, and features beveled edges and cable lash bar to support the exiting cables so the connectors do not dislodge from the wall plates or wear due to movement.

This project wall box ships with a construction cover for the rough out construction phase.

PWB-CMU-HNGWHT: Hinged cover option

An additional cover option is also available for the PWB-CMU8 2-gang wall box that allows the cover of the box to be locked while providing cable access. Designed for left or right swing, the cover features a large, hinged door and two small, hinged door cable exits. A flat key lock and lockable ¼ turn latch is provided so cable ends can be housed internally behind a closed or locked door, protecting the cable and connectors from damage and barring unsightly protrusions into the space.

PWB-CMU-2PLT: Enough room for high and low voltage connectivity

FSR is also introducing a CMU wall box for custom connector plates that provides two large compartments for high and low voltage connectivity. Features include a movable divider that allows multiple plate sizes, a single large or two smaller plate configurations, and a large surface area to accommodate customer supplied covers.

WB-CMU-6G-B: The gangs all here

The WB-CMU-6G-B is a new six-gang wall box for use in Masonry wall construction. It features the ability to separate compartments for high and low voltage and gang plates can be configured in many different electrical plate configuration combinations. The box comes complete with divider and spacers provided; no extra parts needed. The unit is designed for CMU construction with a large volume plate area for high density configurations recessed to protect the connectors, and multiple KO openings for ¾” to 1-¼” conduit.
