from its Premier, Select, and EXCEED Series lines at three major South American trade shows. The conventions—each of which attracts thousands of DTV broadcasters, digital cinematographers, and other media professionals from across Latin America—include Tecnotelevision 2012, SET Broadcast & Cable 2012, and CAPER 2012.

Set to take place from July 25-26, 2012, the fifth annual Tecnotelevision Congress and Expo 2012 will be held at the Corferias Convention Center in Bogota, Colombia. The sold-out event provides media professionals an opportunity to see and learn about emerging technologies, products, and business models impacting DTV and other distribution platforms.

From August 21-23, 2012, the Optical Devices Division will exhibit at SET Broadcast & Cable 2012 at the

Centro de Exposicoes Imigrantes in Sao Paolo, Brazil. And lastly, the company will exhibit at the 21st annual CAPER 2012—a high-profile trade show centered on DTV broadcasting, HDTV, television and radio production and automation, as well as digital cinematography. The show, which expects a crowd of more than 6,000, will take place at the Centro Costa Salguero, from October 24-26, 2012, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“These trade shows are an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our high-performance lenses for HDTV, ENG, and digital cinematography,” said Adriano Bedoya, director of sales and marketing for Latin America, Mexico, and The Caribbean, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division. “These events also offer us the opportunity to solidify long-standing relationships with our Latin American customers and partners as well as to win over new ones. We can’t understate the importance of the growing Latin American region to the future success of our company.”

At the Latin American trade shows, FUJIFILM’s Optical Devices Division will showcase a variety of lenses from its Premier, Select, and EXCEED product lines. At Tecnotelevision, its Premier HA42x9.7 and HA42x13.5 2/3-inch ENG HDTV telephoto lenses will be on display. Also at Tecnotelevision will be two box-type HDTV field lenses, including the XA88x12.5 super telephoto and the XA76x9.3 2/3-inch lenses.

At Broadcast & Cable and CAPER 2012, the Optical Devices Division will show the new PL 19-90mm CABRIO zoom lens, a member of the high-end Premier PL Mount Series of digital cinema-grade lenses. New as of NAB 2012, the PL CABRIO has a unique detachable servo drive unit and is suitable in PL film-style or ENG-style applications. Also on display at the Brazilian and Argentinean shows will be the HA19x.7.4 2/3-inch Premier Series high-performance HDTV lenses and the XA77x9.5 2/3-inch HDTV telephoto field (box-type) lens with the widest angle (77X) in its class—also new as of NAB 2012.

“Fujifilm values its many Latin American customers, and we look forward to seeing several end users, potential clients, and colleagues at these upcoming shows,” said Thom Calabro, Director, Marketing and Product Development, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division.
