BUENA PARK, Calif.âŽ¯Gerber Acoustics of Lake Worth, Florida recently supplied 24 NEXO GEO S1210 speakers to Primerica Financial Services for a six-week corporate presentation tour. Primerica, who markets first-rate financial products and provides middle-income families with affordable term life insurance options, serves over 6 million clients in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and Spain.
Production director for the tour, Joe Farell of Switch Liberate Your Brand said the purpose of the tour was informational: communicating the state of the business, latest product developments, and motivationalâŽ¯recognizing and rewarding the accomplishments of leaders from within the company’s sales force. The audience for the corporate tour was Primerica’s nationwide sales force of over 100,000 strong.
Chas Gerber, owner of Gerber Acoustics, said that since the audience sizes kept expanding, they were forced to sub rent stacks and racks from local sources throughout the tour. “It became similar to a line array shootout at InfoComm only taking place in the real world of bad acoustical spaces,”? says Gerber. “Suffice it to say, our NEXO’s were the best sounding of all the line arrays we have rented. The only speaker system that came close to it was the NEXO GEO D system we used in Los AngelesâŽ¯ a really great speaker itself. For me, the GEO 1210S is the best combination of engineering excellence, high fidelity sound, value, and pure ease of rigging of any of the systems that I have owned or used.”?”¨

Gerber said there were several reasons that influenced his decision to use a NEXO GEO S1210 line array for this corporate event. “A highly respected colleague, Harry Brill, recommended NEXO,”? notes Gerber. “I had heard the GEO S8’s and PS15’s and liked them. I like that they were quite efficient, and were 16 ohms (many hidden performance advantages there) and have an 80-degree horizontal coverage pattern that can be modified to 120 degrees if required. And, I like the idea of only needing one point to rig a sizable array. In hotel ballrooms, rigging is not always user friendly. Believe it or not, I had not even auditioned the GEO S 1210’s when I bought a 24- box system, an 8 box PS15 inventory, as well as ten Yamaha T5n amplifiers. Years of experience and intuition told me they were going to be just fine. They exceeded my expectations, and the company’s follow up tech support (especially Joe Rimstidt) has been outstanding.”?
