BROOKLYN, NY — Nov. 9, 2021 – OmniGear LLC — a division of Gig Gear and maker of accessories and solutions designed for those working in AV installation — has debuted the SafeTHT, the latest addition to the Two Hand Touch line of wearable iPad and tablet harnesses. Similar to the other models in the line, the SafeTHT secures to the chest via an adjustable harness, leaving both hands available to interface with other equipment.
The new SafeTHT features reflective, high-visibility striping on both the outside of the harness and the inside flap when it’s open, not only making the job of installers easier, more efficient, but also safer by keeping both of their hands free at all times.
Additionally, the high-visibility fabric allows the SafeTHT to be worn in conjunction with other hi-viz vests, shirts and jackets, without violating any required workplace safety standards. The SafeTHT complements all other safety gear and clothing, ensuring hi-viz surface areas are maintained.
“Creating gear that makes workers’ jobs easier and more efficient is the core mission of OmniGear,” said Danny Shatzkes, OmniGear’s owner and founder. “But above that is safety. The reflective fabric on the SafeTHT takes safety to a whole new level. We’re proud to offer solutions for AV installers that not only streamlines their work, but also keeps them, and those around them, safe.”
The SafeTHT puts the weight of the tablet closer to the installer’s core, which makes it more ergonomic and decreases hand fatigue and cramping. Adjustable viewing angles offer best usage of the tablet regardless of the position of the user and built-in accessories pockets provide easy access to tools, radios and more. The harness’s wide straps hold the harness securely while tightening and loosening for a customized fit. The SafeTHT is available in two sizes, 9.7 inches and 12.9 inches.
Drop Stop — Mobile Phone Tether
Additionally, OmniGear has released the SafeTHT’s first accessory, the Drop Stop, a cell phone tether that attaches to the SafeTHT. Constructed of a strong, stretchable, coiled tether, it securely attaches to mobile phone and case on one end and hooks onto any loop on the other end via carabiner, preventing phones from falling or getting lost or damaged. The Drop Stop is a high-visibility tether to making it the perfect accessory to go along with all other safety and hi-viz clothing and gear. And the included carabiners ensure that it will stay secure and can attach to practically any item with a secure loop.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, OmniGear was launched by Gig Gear founder Danny Shatzkes and Evan Grazi with the intent to provide innovative products that make every-day workers’ jobs safer, easier and more efficient.
