InfoComm (Booth #3201), ORLANDO -
HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, including networked AV, today introduced the AMX N1134A SDI encoder, a new video over IP encoding solution that eliminates the need for an SDI-to-HDMI converter and makes it easier than ever to integrate an SDI source into any AMX N1000 Networked AV platform. The N1134A streamlines AV setup and allows the award-winning N1000 series Minimal Proprietary Compression codec to transport visually lossless SDI video with sub-frame latency to any N1000 decoder.
“As market adoption of networked AV technology continues to grow, customers expect to be able to stream
video data throughout their network without latency issues or a technically involved setup,” said Andy Whitehead, General Manager Networked AV, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “The AMX N1134A takes the excellent encoding and low latency of the N1133 encoder and makes it available with a native SDI input, delivering an accessible and streamlined solution for the integration and transport of broadcast quality live video feeds in meeting spaces, lecture halls or event centers.”
The N1134A encoder integrates well with AMX control systems, it also features AES-67 for easy integration with a variety of audio devices including our own BSS and Crown. And like the other members of the N1000 family of encoders and decoders, PoE power from a simple Ethernet connection to the local network switch both speeds up installation and eliminates the need for a local power source.
N1134A encoders further expand the accessibility of the industry-leading AMX N1000 series, which is the most cost effective Networked AV line on the market and features the lowest level of compression available. And while N1000 is ideal for in-room video distribution and switching applications, it can also effectively scale to as large as 32x32 matrix size.
The N1134A is the latest entry in the largest family of AV-over-IP solutions on the market that allow customers to easily send IP Media for distribution using
managed network switches in any size and configuration with the highest degree of flexibility.
