FRANKFURT, Germany — Today at Prolight + Sound 2015 in Frankfurt, Germany HARMAN’s Martin Professional introduced the RUSH FiberSource 1™ for illuminating fiber optic cables in permanent installations. The latest addition to the RUSH by Martin family and an anticipated update to the FiberSource QFX 150™, the new RUSH FiberSource 1™ will be on display this week at Martin’s stand A93 in Hall 9.

The RUSH FiberSource 1™ is a powerful automated color-changing luminaire that can illuminate up to 300 1 mm fiber optic cables. With a new 78 W LED fiber projector, the RUSH FiberSource 1™ boasts improved efficiency and reliability while retaining all the key features of its predecessor. It comes backed by a color wheel with nine interchangeable colors and a twinkle wheel for variable-speed sparkling effects. The luminaire also features smooth, full-range (0-100 percent) electronic dimming.

“Our RUSH family has become an industry standard in the installation market and we are proud to continue our commitment to providing the most versatile and cost-efficient solutions available,” said Mark Buss, Product Manager for RUSH by Martin. “The RUSH FiberSource 1™ is now the most reliable fiber optic luminaire on the market and is the perfect solution for a range of applications from nightclubs and bars to cruise liners and entertainment venues.”

The fixture is controllable via DMX or a stand-alone mode with full control to ensure any combination of colors, color speed and twinkle speed can be easily programmed.

PL+S attendees are invited to visit Martin’s stand A93 in Hall 9 of Messe Frankfurt April 15-18 for hands-on demonstrations of the new products. Also on display will be the brand new Martin RUSH SM 650™ and SM 850™ smoke machines, the RUSH Club Smoke Dual™ and several flagship fixtures, including the MAC Quantum Profile™, MAC Quantum Wash™ and MAC Aura XB™. The winner of this year’s young Lighting Designer Contest will be announced at the stand today, April 15th at 1 p.m.
