Historic Vogue Theater Updates LED Marquee

Vogue theater LED marquee

LOS ANGELES— The Vogue Multicultural Museum, which was once a historic film venue along the Hollywood Walk of Fame known as the Vogue Theatre, updated its aging marquee with LED video technology from SNA Displays. The 50-foot-long LED marquee faces Hollywood Blvd. and sports a 6.6 mm pixel pitch. Out-of-home specialists Orange Barrel Media (OBM) operate screen content on behalf of the museum, which has occupied the historic landmark since 2021.

The LED marquee is comprised of three sections made from SNA Displays’ EMPIRE™ Exterior video technology. Two of the faces, both measuring 6’4” x 18’11” (288 x 864 pixels), protrude from the building’s façade at a 128-degree angle on the awning over the main doors. The smallest section, 4’9” x 12’7” (216 x 576), is mounted flush against the building’s façade.

“The Vogue Theatre is an iconic piece of Hollywood history,” said Pete Simon, director of OOH for SNA Displays. “This digital facelift, which upgrades the building via state-of-the-art technology while respecting the original architecture, will help the museum attract visitors and open up new revenue streams.”

YESCO provided LED installation services.
