Plainview, NY – February 19, 2018 – Following last week’s announcement by Indy Audio Labs, LLC of its newly expanded Acurus ACT 4 home cinema processor, the company held a two-day live demo event showing off the ACT 4’s new capabilities to crowds of interested systems integrators, dealers and end customers. The event was held February 9th and 10th at the Digital Sales Group (DSG) Metro sales offices in New York. The upgraded ACT 4 impressed participants with its unique ability to natively decode Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 while supporting up to 4 additional configurable channel outputs, for maximum loudspeaker layouts of 9.5.6 or 9.7.4.
Live Dolby Atmos content was featured and the demos were supported by DSG’s custom 9.2.6 immersive demo cinema built around the Acurus ACT 4, an Epson 4k projector, a Severtson 175″ acoustically transparent 4k screen, and a dARTS loudspeaker system. Participants also enjoyed theater seating by Acoustic Innovation.

The 13.3 ACT 4 is available for sale now. In April 2018, the 20-channel hardware/firmware upgrade kit will become available to existing ACT 4 owners and will be supplied standard in all new ACT 4s shipping from Indy Audio Labs’ factory in Jeffersonville, Indiana, USA.
