IHSE USA To Bring Award-Winning KVM Solutions to I/ITSEC 2022

Company to Demonstrate a Wide Range of KVM Solutions for Secure Desktops, Deployable C2 Systems and High Frame Rate Video Solutions for Simulation and Training Exercises

CRANBURY, N.J. —Oct. 27, 2022 — IHSE USA today announced it will exhibit at Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) 2022 in Booth 2858, Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in Orlando, Florida. As a leader in high-performance KVM systems that benefit modeling, simulation, and training applications, the company will showcase a suite of KVM solutions for multidomain desktop access, KVM extension for high-frame rate (HFR) video training stations, deployable command and control (C2) communications for field operations, and other KVM solutions compliant with NIAP PP PSD 4.0. Also on display will be IHSE’s kvm-tec family of extenders for KVM over IP (KVMoIP).

“Training requires technology that can simulate and prepare users for real-world situations without any barriers — with best-in-class features, access, and security,” said Dan Holland, sales and product marketing at IHSE USA. “At I/ITSEC 2022, we’ll share how the latest solutions are engineered for the high-performance requirements of the most mission-critical applications. It’ll be an opportunity to see our most recent and award-winning KVM, video extension, and management solutions that can support any deployment.”

Draco HDMI Two-Port KVM System
The Draco HDMI two-port KVM system allows multidomain user access at a single-user workstation and is accessible through a single keyboard and mouse. The receiver unit includes two input ports that can be connected to two separate remote CPU sources while allowing access to a local computer or laptop. The remote CPU units are connected via fiber or Cat X cable at the transmitter units. Switching to a source is accomplished via fast-access keyboard commands that select between the two remote sources or bypass the remote CPU sources and connect to a local computer. On the HDMI two-Port KVM system receiver unit, an additional input HDMI port is included to extend the video of a local laptop. This becomes a clear advantage for applications in which fixed computers need to be in secured areas and other computers, such as laptops, can be connected as needed. C2 rooms, network operating centers, and urgent response centers must provide superior service to their users and clients, and for these types of systems, IHSE’s Draco HDMI two-port KVM system delivers significant value from day one.

Draco HFR Extenders for Simulation and Gaming Applications
As a leading provider of extenders for esports gaming computers, IHSE has developed a line of HFR extenders supporting transports of up to 240Hz while simultaneously supporting 60Hz. Video production must provide low latency and HFRs for gamers’ computers while producing audience previews in standard 1080p/60. IHSE solved the dual-transport problem with the introduction of Synchronized Sequential Frame Rate Conversion (SSFRC) technology, available in its Draco ultra series of DisplayPort and HDMI extenders. SSFRC technology combines HFR computer actions and broadcast transmission workflows into one extender system. Not only does this simplify the on-site infrastructure, but it also ensures that the same content is available everywhere at a pristine quality level that greatly enhances the overall impact of the event and the enjoyment of viewers.

Deployable KVM/AV System for C2 Operations
Built from the latest commercial, off-the-shelf, high-speed KVM technology components, the basic Draco tactical system can support up to 36 computer or laptop sources and three quad-view displays. All electrical components, power, and cabling are mounted inside a rugged, transportable, weather-resistant, and MIL-SPEC-compliant case. Because the Draco tactical systems are built around common KVM components, users can create custom configurations to support multiple displays and projection requirements. A typical package starts with six input connections and can be expanded to support up to 72 sources with four quad-screen output displays. Output connections for projection systems support DVI and HDMI output at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. The system can optionally manage advanced 4K resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 via DisplayPort over fiber interconnects.

For video projection, each Draco tactical system includes at least one advanced, quad-screen video processor commonly used for multimedia presentations in tactical operation centers and command operation centers. This is beneficial when it becomes necessary to display up to four video images on a single projector or monitor. Further, IHSE has partnered with AVKM LLC to support portable large-screen projection systems. These preconfigured and easily deployable systems can support screen sizes ranging from 60 inches to 190 inches wide and can accommodate all major projector resolutions up to 4K and 4,000 lumens. The lightweight, foldable, and easy-to-set-up aluminum-screen frame installs in minutes based on its patented, cantilevered floating-mount projector attachments.

IHSE 487 Series KVM Secure Core™ Extenders — Compliant to NIAP PP PSD 4.0
Offering the latest in cybersecurity best practices, the IHSE 487 Series KVM Secure Core extenders allow operators the confidence of controlling multiple systems using the same set of KVM peripherals without exposing confidential data to attack. This TAA-compliant KVM extender system is ideal for use in network environments that demand rigorous cybersecurity provisions — including government, military, and health care applications. An integrated KVM Secure Core matrix switch dramatically simplifies workstation setup with auto-sensing ports, which seamlessly merge DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI display standards. Secure Core KVM extenders protect desktop access to reduce risk in government and military environments where security is imperative, as well as in any other information-sensitive applications that require safe and secure switching between computers on different security-level networks.

kvm-tec Series of Extenders Support KVMoIP
On display will be kvm-tec’s Scalable line supporting networked multiviewer capabilities. Unique features include the ability to control four computer sources up to 120 kilometers away simultaneously via one keyboard and mouse. By simply moving the mouse cursor to the edge of each quadrant, operators have full control of the source. The control software allows a full range of KVM extenders from kvm-tec to be added via a typical KVMoIP network design. Where more than four computers are on the KVMoIP network, the software allows users to select any one of the sources and assign it to a quadrant on the display.
