STARS AV specialises in home systems distribution and focuses its portfolio on up market residential audio visual needs. Established in 2009, the company is exclusive distributor for a number of high-end brands including Meridian Audio, Future Automation, Sonance, Avielo by Projectiondesign, Liberty Cables, Intelix, Waterfall, and Proficient.

Graham Boswell, Sales Director for Prism Sound that owns the Imerge brand, says: “We are delighted to add STARS AV to our growing list of international distributors and we feel confident that the local knowledge and retailing skills the company brings to the Imerge brand will significantly increase our presence in the Spanish market.”

STARS AV is headed by directors Patrick Kahr and Boyen Rienks, both of whom have backgrounds in high-end retailing and marketing.

“Our focus is very much on brand development and strategic commercial alliances to build brand awareness for the companies we represent,” Patrick Kahr says. “STARS AV’s business is geared towards the luxury consumer segment and the high-end residential market.

“We work with a network of highly qualified third party installers, focusing on residential projects with multi room audio video and control requirements. Imerge products are ideally suited to this market as they offer a centralized database that allows us to deliver the high quality, multi-room audio and video that these customers demand.”

Mr. Kahr adds that Spain’s economic difficulties have had an impact on sales but the market for quality remains consistent.

“There is some movement in the high end segment but we recognise that we have to be patient and work on building a solid foundation,” he explains. “We are delighted to bring Imerge into the STARS portfolio because its products are ideally suited to our core customer base. We have already sold a number of systems, with more sales in the pipeline, and we are also promoting the range by displaying Imerge in our strategic product showrooms in Madrid, Marbella and Barcelona. This is an exciting relationship and we look forward to developing it in the future.”
