InFocus Adds Native 4K to its Jupiter Catalyst Display Wall Processor Family

Latest version of this award-winning software expands user control and flexibility while enabling stunning visual displays with native 4K output

PORTLAND, Ore. – June 2, 2016 — InFocus today announced its Jupiter Canvas 5.0, a new version of its award-winning collaborative visualization software. Canvas delivers real-time video, data, and application screens from across the enterprise to display walls, smartphones, tablets, PCs and conference room systems including InFocus Jupiter Canvas Touch and CRS 4K systems. Canvas enables users to share information and collaborate on this consolidated business intelligence, anywhere in the corporate or mobile network in a highly secure environment. InFocus Jupiter Canvas 5.0 will debut at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas at the InFocus booth #N1417.

Canvas 5.0 features an array of ease of use and flexibility enhancements along with upgraded security features and improved display wall control. Features include a new web-based multi-touch interface and support for Workgroup environments in addition to Active Directory environments for user authentication. Canvas 5.0 also adds support for native 4K video sources, driving Ultra HD displays through the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K display wall processor, also announced today and integrated with Canvas 5.0.

“Detail and real-time access matter to managers who need to make critical operational decisions with confidence,” said Brady O. Bruce, InFocus CMO. “Whether it’s a team controlling a multinational manufacturing operation or front-line emergency responders, visual clarity and simultaneous multi-source views enable the most informed decision-making. Canvas 5.0 provides the most straightforward way to monitor, connect and align operations from any device, anywhere.”

The new Mimic Touch interface extends web-based multi-touch, object-based control of Canvas sources to users in any location. Mimic Touch controls images, text, web-based content, DVI Windows and other applications, enabling users to drag and drop windows anywhere on a display wall juxtaposing images for a 360-degree view of operations.

High-quality visualization of assets, always a Canvas focus, is now available with even more incredible clarity through native 4K support, enabling the display of 4K and 1080p HD sources together on one wall. This capability is available through the new InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K display wall processor, built specifically for Canvas 5.0.

Flexible and secure, Canvas offers the option of using either Workgroup environments or Active Directory for user authentication with the same object-level security, enterprise-wide.

Canvas 5.0 is an upgrade to Jupiter Control Point and earlier Canvas versions. Canvas 5.0 now ships standard with all InFocus Jupiter Fusion Catalyst and Catalyst 4K display wall processors. Canvas 5.0 is available as an upgrade to previously sold Jupiter Fusion Catalyst 1000, 4000, 4500 and 8000 display wall processors, free for those systems currently under the company’s maintenance program. Canvas 5.0 is available immediately. For more information, visit http://www.InFocus.com.
