InFocus DigiEasel Whiteboard Makes Huddle Spaces Paperless and Doubles as Interactive Sign

40-inch HD touchscreen can showcase HTML5 signage, wirelessly display devices and browse the Web

PORTLAND, Ore. – Sept. 09, 2015 — Visual collaboration pioneer InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com) has unveiled DigiEasel,  its latest line of interactive touchscreen displays designed to facilitate teamwork in smaller meeting rooms and huddle spaces. The affordable, 40-inch, 1080p-resolution, 10-point touch DigiEasel has two models, which both feature built-in digital whiteboarding tools and give users display and touch control of their Windows, Mac and Chromebook devices. The DigiEasel with LightCast adds InFocus’ LightCast technology for wireless casting of another device’s screen, the ability to save and email notes and Internet browsing. InFocus is also launching DigiEasel Sign Manager, which enables DigiEasel to display an organization’s HTML5 interactive signage and stories.

“We’ve all used big paper easels or dirty, old whiteboards in corners of the office or little huddle rooms when we’ve needed to spend a few minutes strategizing, brainstorming or confirming plans,” said Robert Detwiler, product marketing manager at InFocus. “DigiEasel’s digital whiteboard lets you skip the search for a marker and instead lets you save your written notes to reference later and do so much more; just try surfing the Web on a giant pad of paper.”

InFocus is introducing two models, the DigiEasel with LightCast (INF4032) and DigiEasel (INF4030). The DigiEasel with LightCast supports casting content from Android, Windows, and Apple iOS and OSX wirelessly and has a built-in Internet Browser and can connect to a corporate network. Both models allow notebook display and control via HDMI or VGA and USB and have built-in digital whiteboarding software. Additionally, both models are edge-to-edge capacitive touchscreens that don’t require calibration, have 20-watt stereo speakers, a stylus and a tray.

DigiEasel Interactive Sign

When not being used for teamwork, DigiEasel owners can leverage the device as a multi-purpose digital interactive portrait or landscape sign when they add InFocus’ new DigiEasel Sign Manager. The software enables customers to load and display their own customized HTML5-based content on either DigiEasel model. InFocus designed DigiEasel interactive sign as a self-service experience that will help offices, educational institutions and retail stores build their brands.

Interactive signage gives organizations the flexibility to communicate the information their audiences need and drive their interest and engagement through touch-based interactivity. DigiEasel with LightCast is networkable and therefore organizations can add video calling and pull content from the web to interactive sign designs.

“Whether you’re a university that wants to provide interactive campus maps, event schedules and sports highlights all around campus, or a business that needs to communicate dynamic, interactive information to customers or employees, InFocus DigiEasel is a versatile, ultra-affordable signage option that streamlines your communications,” continued Detwiler.

DigiEasel will be available for purchase through InFocus resellers and directly from the manufacturer at infocusstore.com starting at the introductory price of $999. DigiEasel Sign Manager MAP price is $899. The INF4030 will be available in September with the INF4032 to follow shortly thereafter.
