TORONTO — Aug. 27, 2024 — IMSTA is pleased to announce that Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis will be delivering the keynote speech at IMSTA FESTA New York on Sept. 28 at the SAE Institute of Technology New York. Jerry is a Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum music producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the founder and owner of Platinum Sound Recording Studios in New York.
IMSTA FESTA New York is a celebration of music technology for the vibrant music community of the Greater New York City Area. IMSTA FESTA New York serves as a platform that brings together the music-making community and leading music technology companies. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one product demonstrations, explore music industry panels, participate in master classes, receive valuable reviews of their songs, win prizes, and much more.
Exhibits start at 11 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. The first 100 visitors will be treated to a free breakfast at 10:30 a.m. At 12 p.m., Jerry Wonda will deliver the keynote speech, sharing a wealth of knowledge from his successful career in the music industry. From 2-6 p.m., master classes will take place every hour on the hour, led by prominent presenters from various areas of the music industry.
IMSTA FESTA New York 2024 master class presenters include Archie Beatz, a composer, producer, professional recording and mix engineer, and YouTube personality with over 100,000 subscribers; Michelle Richburg, Billboard magazine’s top business manager for 2020 and 2021, who will deliver a master class on music as a business; Scott Hull, owner and chief mastering engineer at Masterdisk; and Mia Florival, royalties manager at Downtown Music, who will deliver a master class on music publishing.
This annual event caters to a diverse range of music creators, including musicians, songwriters, producers, audio engineers, mixing engineers, mastering engineers, music students, and music educators.
