Built with Kensington’s Patented SmartFit System, Users Can Adjust Monitors to Their Optimal Height to Reduce Neck, Back and Vision Strain
Kensington®, today introduced its new SmartFit® Dual Monitor Arm Mount that enables users to add a second external display to their desktops while optimizing user ergonomics and comfort level while working.
Studies have shown a second monitor can boost productivity by up to 50 percent for tasks like copying and pasting. In addition, a Jon Peddie Research survey found that an extra monitor can boost output by 20-30 percent. The Kensington Dual Monitor Arm Mount has two fully adjustable arms that support up to 24” monitors, and with SmartFit features, users can find their optimal height setting to reduce neck, back and vision strain. It assembles in minutes, adding another productivity benefit.
“This is an exciting new enhancement to the SmartFit family of products,” said Brian Knauss, global product manager, Kensington. “With research proving that using a second monitor can make you significantly more productive as well as more ergonomically comfortable, business and home office professionals will find great benefit from incorporating the Dual Monitor Arm Mount accessory into their work environment.”
With more than 20 years of expertise creating ergonomic solutions to increase productivity, Kensington’s patented SmartFit System demystifies ergonomics, making it easy for users to install and customize their workspace with accessories that fit their ergonomic comfort requirements. The company developed SmartFit using U.S. Army research that found a direct correlation between the size of hand and body measurements. Every SmartFit product includes a hand chart in the box, helping each user find the correct SmartFit color setting that will deliver optimum ergonomic comfort.
