KMH Integration Completes Podcast and Broadcast Studio Project for Spotify’s Hollywood Facility

Spotify recently engaged KMH Integration to design and completely build-out new podcast and broadcast studio systems with fully integrated audio and video capabilities at the streaming service’s Hollywood location.

The newly expanded spaces provide Spotify with the upgraded technical capabilities to produce original content including podcasts and other live or recorded programming, in addition to its music streaming services. Spotify has announced a deal with Netflix to bring full-length video versions of top Spotify podcasts to the Netflix platform.

The KMH project for Spotify illustrates a larger trend of major content platforms building their own sophisticated, multi-studio production facilities that integrate both high-quality audio and 4K video, enabling deeper collaboration and content creation partnerships between digital media companies.

The new facilities include five podcast and live broadcast studios, including one 4K room; control rooms; an IDF equipment rack room; green rooms; and background music playback capabilities for several public open areas, including reception, green rooms, a work/lounge/pantry, and patio.
