At Punta Minitas Villa, luxury living is defined as much by what residents don’t see as by what they do. Located within Casa de Campo, one of the Dominican Republic’s premier luxury residential and resort communities, the villa combines expansive indoor and outdoor living with a sophisticated technology infrastructure designed to support an elevated lifestyle. Surrounded by lush landscapes and resort amenities, Casa de Campo offers an exceptional setting for a residence where entertainment, connectivity, and comfort work seamlessly from room to room and inside to out.
Leading local integrator Musitempo was selected to design and commission the system, creating a fully integrated smart-villa ecosystem in the 19,000-square-foot home that incorporates networking, automation, distributed audio, home entertainment, and a dedicated movie theater.
“This project was approached with a ‘technology disappears’ philosophy,” said Fernando Hernandez Voigt, Chief Technology Officer at Musitempo. “Every system was engineered to deliver uncompromising performance while remaining visually discreet and effortless to use.”
Music is integral to the Punta Minitas Villa experience, with audio distributed throughout the villa and into its outdoor spaces. In-ceiling and architectural loudspeakers provide coverage throughout interior areas, including the living spaces, spa, gym, cigar lounge, and private rooms. Outside, landscape speakers blend into the gardens and pool areas, providing immersive sound without competing with the property’s architecture and landscaping.
Musitempo chose LEA Professional amplifiers to power the loudspeakers. The amplifiers provide the power, DSP capabilities, and monitoring needed to manage audio across the property’s many zones while giving Musitempo the flexibility to tune each area for its particular application.
Connect Series 168 and Connect Series 354 amplifiers power the villa’s loudspeakers across multiple zones. The IoT-enabled 8-channel CS168 delivers 160 watts per channel, while the 4-channel CS354 delivers 350 watts per channel. They support both Hi-Z (70V or 100V) and Lo-Z, selectable by channel, eliminating the need for separate amplifiers to handle different speaker impedances, while streamlining installations and reducing equipment costs. The Connect Series also includes 96kHz DSP as a standard feature, providing a range of benefits that greatly enhance audio performance and system versatility.
The Connect Series delivers an industry-first professional amplifier family featuring cloud connectivity, a revolutionary advancement, and a significant benefit for anyone maintaining the systems. With LEA Cloud, AV integrators like Musitempo can remotely control and monitor amplifiers from anywhere, at any time, with no subscription model or hidden costs. It’s completely free to use.
Punta Minitas Villa demonstrates how carefully engineered technology can become an invisible part of a luxury residential experience. From seamless connectivity across the property to high-fidelity audio in interior and exterior spaces, every system was designed around how the residence would actually be used. By combining amplification, DSP, monitoring, and flexible system management, LEA amplifiers provide Musitempo with the tools to deliver consistent, high-performance audio.
“Punta Minitas Villa stands as a benchmark for modern Caribbean luxury living, where technology enhances lifestyle without ever becoming intrusive,” said Voigt. “LEA amplifiers play a significant role in the experience, and we look forward to using them again in future installations.”
