New Wi-Fi streaming personal listening solution offers unparalleled sound clarity and low latency
INFOCOMM – ORLANDO – June 11, 2019 – Listen Technologies, a leading provider of assistive listening systems for 21 years, is showcasing its new and improved Wi-Fi product, Listen EVERYWHERE, at InfoComm 2019. Listen EVERYWHERE streams audio wirelessly to individual Wi-Fi-enabled devices. It is the latest in the evolution of Listen Technologies Wi-Fi products and the first Wi-Fi streaming solution for personal and assistive listening.
Listen EVERYWHERE replaces Audio Everywhere and features upgraded hardware, a streamlined finish and a new server with professional audio outputs. The product is a professional-grade system with proprietary Listen Technologies hardware. In addition, Listen EVERYWHERE is the first Wi-Fi product on the market that fulfills the requirement for assistive listening when paired with ListenRF or ListenIR for a complete assistive listening solution.
Listen EVERYWHERE is easy to add to a venue’s existing wireless network and can accommodate thousands of users and over 50 channels. In venues featuring Listen EVERYWHERE hardware, patrons and guests can stream audio and customized content directly to their iOS and Android devices via the free Listen EVERYWHERE app and experience clear sound using earbuds or headphones, or via Bluetooth-enabled hearing aid. Venues can customize the Listen EVERYWHERE app to promote their brand and push content to guests. The result is greater user engagement and a more personalized listening experience.
“As smartphone technology advances, Listen Technologies’ Wi-Fi technology development is keeping pace,” said Doug Taylor, chief product officer, Listen Technologies. “Listen EVERYWHERE combines superior technology, the convenience of Wi-Fi and prevalence of smartphones to deliver users an outstanding listening experience.”
Listen Technologies launched Listen EVERYWHERE in January 2019 and demonstrated the product at Integrated Systems Europe in February. Response from the industry has been extremely positive. While the product was in beta testing, industry trade magazine CE Pro, in conjunction with sister sites Commercial Integrator and Security Sales & Integration, recognized Listen EVERYWHERE with an Internet of Things (IoT) Award. More recently, the National Systems Contractor Association (NSCA) recognized Listen EVERYWHERE with an Excellence in Product Innovation Award.
Applications of the affordable, low-latency Listen EVERYWHERE solution include hospitality, sports bars, houses of worship and classroom settings. The product also can be used in airports and indoor arenas. Maverick Center in West Valley City, Utah, a 10,000-seat stadium and home to minor league hockey team the Grizzlies, is using Listen EVERYWHERE to stream live audio from games directly to fans and involve them in the action.
“We are excited to bring Listen EVERYWHERE to InfoComm 2019 and connect with AV professionals, systems integrators and design consultants who are committed to finding the next generation technologies that will deliver exceptional communication experiences to their customers,” added Taylor.
Visitors to Listen Technologies’ booth (6153) at InfoComm 2019 will be able to download the Listen EVERYWHERE app and stream audio from any one of four channels to their smart phones or tablets. There will be one channel of streaming audio from a video screen in the booth to personal devices, one channel streaming recorded audio and a fourth channel featuring audio streamed from a live mic that will demonstrate the product’s very low latency.
