Showcases newly acquired products at ISE 2020
INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE – AMSTERDAM – February 7, 2020 – Listen Technologies, a leading provider of assistive listening systems for 22 years, is meeting the needs of professional audio and tour operators and their customers around the world. The company has expanded its global presence and suite of listening solutions to improve life’s experiences through sound and provide exceptional audio and content anytime, anywhere, on any platform.
In September 2019, Listen Technologies acquired AudioConexus, Inc., the leader in creative, multilingual and accessible tour solutions. Operating as Listen Technologies Canada, the company offers tour products and services that complement Listen Technologies’ suite of assistive listening and personal audio solutions. In July, Listen Technologies opened an office in Denmark and named Flemming Bjerke general manager of Listen Technologies Europe to meet the needs of venues and end-users across the continent and throughout EMEA.
“Venue owners and attraction and destination operators around the globe want to deliver superior guest experiences that will garner positive reviews and grow their businesses,” said Russ Gentner, CEO of Listen Technologies. “Listen Technologies’ consistent, strategic growth in geographic markets and breadth of personal listening solutions is a direct response to the requests of pro audio and tour operator customers. We help venues and businesses – from houses of worship and classrooms to museums and river cruises – deliver clear, multi-lingual audio and content that engages people.”
Demand for assistive listening solutions is expected to rise as the World Health Organization estimates the number of global citizens with disabling hearing loss will reach 900 million (one in 10) by 2050. Wi-Fi availability is increasing, and the number of smartphone users worldwide is expected to reach 2.87 billion this year. The global tours and activities market also is growing and is projected to become a $183 billion industry in 2020.
“Listen Technologies is the nexus of these trends with personal listening solutions that offer accessibility and customization and enable people to have more immersive experiences and greater engagement,” said Maile Keone, president of Listen Technologies. “Whatever the environment or personal listening need, Listen Technologies has a solution. Our growth strategy reflects this commitment.”
Following its acquisition of AudioConexus, Listen Technologies announced the launch of Navilution® Wi-Fi, the sightseeing industry’s first affordable, plug-and-play, low latency, streaming passenger entertainment solution.
