March 2014, Orlando, FL – LMG, a national provider of video, audio and lighting support, celebrated 30 years of business on March 17th. As part of the anniversary celebration, LMG has launched a charitable campaign across its six nationwide office locations entitled “30-in-30,” celebrating 30 years in support of 30 causes to give back to its local communities. LMG is headquartered in Orlando, and has additional offices in Dallas, Nashville, Tampa, and Las Vegas.
The charitable campaign will take place over the course of the year, ending in March 2015. The firm has committed to supporting 30 causes through many outlets, including volunteering, gear donations, employee drives and collections, and participation in several charitable events to generate awareness. When developing the action plan and finalizing the list of 30 causes, LMG encouraged employees to submit ideas and charities that had personal meaning to them to rally support and participation.
Some examples of planned employee participation events include: building homes for Habitat for Humanity; running a 5K for Give Kids the World; creating and sending care packages to US military service members through Operation Gratitude; and shaving heads for children with cancer for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation; to name a few. Other national charities on the list of 30 causes include the Make a Wish Foundation, Toys for Tots, American Red Cross, United Way, and Boy Scouts of America, in addition to the many local charities in each of LMG’s home cities.
“We are very grateful to be able to celebrate 30 years of business and wanted to find a special way to honor the occasion and give back to our local communities,” states Les Goldberg, CEO/president of LMG. “I cannot imagine a better way to commemorate this milestone, which is very personal to me, than by supporting 30 causes that are personal to our amazing staff and surrounding communities.”
