Martin Audio Enjoys Successful InfoComm 2016

With the introduction of the CDD-LIVE! and CDD-WR (weatherized) series and well-attended demo experiences, Martin Audio enjoyed a highly successful InfoComm 2016.

Martin Audio continued its momentum with a combination of new product launches and well-attended demo experiences at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas.

The company demonstrated new color and finish capability for its popular CDD™ Series with samples of RAL color variants on their booth as well as a special chrome finish version. David Morbey, Product Manager, said, “Essentially, we can now do any RAL color at minimal cost and lead time. The chrome version is considerably more expensive than standard lines, but again we wanted to showcase our capabilities for the permanent install should demand exist.”

Also new, the CDD-WR weatherized series for outdoor venues has already been deployed in several new installations including the North Carolina Museum of Art’s outdoor amphitheater and the Gateway Grizzlies’ stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

Martin Audio also unveiled its CDD-LIVE!™ series for the US market, combining its now patented Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver technology with a powerful integrated electronics module featuring on-board DSP, Class D amplification and Dante™ digital audio networking. Lee Stein, VP of Sales for North American said, “This line will drive Martin Audio into consideration among both rental companies and system integrators because it delivers a heady mixture of technology and benefits, yet at a very cost competitive price point.”

The CDD-LIVE! series was an important part of Martin Audio’s demonstration experience. Having introduced the driver technology and announced that the original CDD Series had already sold 12,000 units worldwide, James King, Director of Marketing, went on to showcase CDD-LIVE! features and benefits as well playing a range of tracks to demonstrate the versatility, finesse and power of the series.

Commenting, King said, “CDD-LIVE! earned significant praise in the demonstration, with arguably the surprise package being CDD-LIVE 8 where we demonstrated considerable low end from such a compact enclosure without any sub. We entertained over 650 people through the demonstration, and many qualified leads were generated as a result.”

Finally, it was an opportunity for US customers, press and industry colleagues to meet with Martin Audio’s new managing Director, Dom Harter. He impressed many with his freewheeling yet insightful presentation of MLA Mini and MLA Compact in the demo room and was a frequent presence on the booth to discuss Martin Audio’s future.

He said, “Martin Audio’s CDD technology has been a runaway success joining the impressive success of MLA technology, but it’s clear that we need yet more tools and at different price points to continue the momentum of the brand and that is what we are hard at work on right now.”
