Media Technology Expo Provides Value for Pacific Northwest Video Professionals

SEATAC, WA —

Registration is still open for the 3rd Annual Media Technology Expo, which begins Sept. 30 at Fremont Studios in Seattle and concludes at Left Bank Annex in Portland, Ore., on Oct. 2. Presented by professional video and audio systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), the free event is expected to attract hundreds of video professionals from across the Pacific Northwest.

Both venues will feature an exhibit hall with almost 50 exhibitors, including Avid, AJA Video, Extron, JVC, Panasonic, Roland and Sony. The free conference program includes a “Broadcast Roundtable,” which will feature personnel from regional television stations discussing newsroom technologies and workflows. Other seminars will discuss audio issues, lighting for broadcast and video conference applications, intercom-over-IP technology, virtual sets and 4K production.

“We have received very positive feedback from both attendees and exhibitors since we Mark Siegel High Res JPEGlaunched MTE in 2012,” said

Mark Siegel, president of ABS. “We may live in a digital age, but video professionals need more than online research when they are considering a major equipment purchase. They want to test the gear and talk to someone from the company who can provide information that might not be on a spec sheet. Plus, our conference program and networking opportunities add even more value to the MTE experience.”

MTE 2014 is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in both locations and offers free valet parking for all attendees. Registration includes free food and beverages during the show, but space is limited. For registration, vendor information, and full seminar schedule, visit
