So it is more than fitting that Meridian exhibited during the 2008 Pebble Beach RetroAuto held on August 15-17th in Pebble Beach, California. The exhibition pavilion located immediately adjacent to the main pedestrian entrance to the Pebble Beach Concours d’EleganceA® is where Meridian demonstrated its stunning new F80 all-in-one entertainment system, engineered in cooperation with Ferrari, the legendary Italian automaker. Meridian also took the opportunity to inform the event’s elite attendees of its many more conventional but no less innovative and elegant solutions for home music and home theater systems.

The F80 is the first of a series of collaborative designs between Meridian and Ferrari that reflect the unique qualities of both”¨companies. Available in five official Ferrari colors (including, of course, Rosso Corsa—“Ferrari red”?), it’s carefully hand-finished to the same quality of craftsmanship as its namesake Ferrari car. The utterly unique Meridian F80 is compact music/media system that can function as CD player, DVD player (when connected to TV or display), FM/AM radio, alarm-clock system, iPod or desktop/PC music system, and a good deal more. Its compact exterior belies the considerable technology contained within, including multiple digital amplifiers and digital speakers, and state-of-the-art digital signal processing, to produce sound quality that is literally jaw-dropping.
