AMSTERDAM, INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE, Booth # P-122 — MuxLab Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the newest addition to its HD-SDI family; the HD-SDI to HDMI Extender Kit (500715). This new product converts HD-SDI to HDMI and then transmits it up to 330 ft (100m) via Cat5e/6 cable at all resolutions in a point-to-point configuration.
Ideal for various applications such as video production, broadcasting, post-production, and medical imaging displays, the 500715 supports SDI-SMPTE 259M-C (270Mbps), HD-SDI-SMPTE 292M (1.485, 1.485/1.001 Gbps), and HD-SDI-SMPTE 424M/425M (2.97/3.0 Gbps). For extended distances, the unit also supports up to 400 ft (122m) via Cat6 cable.
“This product has so many uses, like HD/SD routing and HD CCTV. The 500715 allows a more cost-efficient HDMI display to be used instead of a more costly HD-SDI monitor in video production applications. Furthermore the product eliminates the need for a separate HD-SDI-to-HDMI converter and HDMI extender thereby minimizing the number of points of failure and providing a total end-to-end solution” said Marc Bohbot, MuxLab’s Director of R&D. “We are extremely excited about the launch of this new product”.
The HD-SDI to HDMI Extender Kit supports transmission of up to 2.97/3.0 Gbps uncompressed, un-encrypted digital video (optionally including embedded Audio and/or Time Code) within television facilities and between professional video equipment.
