DAY 2 TURNS INTO DAY 3—Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all, My Morning Jacket shows up at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on Friday, June 13th and roars through two lengthy sets finally coming to raucous halt around 5 A.M. the next day. Along the way fans grooved to songs from the band’s forthcoming album, Evil Urges, listened to covers of Sly and the Family Stone and Erykah Badu, laid witness to guest spots ranging from Metallica guitarist Kirk Hemmett to comedian Zach Galifianakis dressed as Annie, and duly noted that frontman Jim James still prefers a hardwired Shure SM58 mic over anything else.
